
Shirley Ann Haney of Puxico, Missouri, daughter of the late Ester Elmore and Jessie (Hutchison) Elmore born on July 20, 1935 in Duck Creek, Missouri passed away on January 11, 2022 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at the age of 86 years.
She lived in Puxico, Missouri for the last 50 years. Shirley’s home church was West Pleasant Valley Church in Bloomfield, Missouri. She volunteered at and was on the board for the Stoddard County Children’s Home in Bloomfield. She loved to cook and bake.
Shirley married Avery Haney on April 23, 1971 in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Shirley is survived by her husband Avery Haney; one daughter Shawn (Roger) Butler of St. Charles, Missouri; four grandchildren Ian Ross Butler, Jillian Renee Butler, Jessica (Robert) Yount and Jacob Pulley; one great granddaughter Kylee Dees; one daughter-in-law Marlene Pulley-Denton of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; one niece Malea (Paul) Zwick of Gainesville, Florida; one nephew Phillip (Susan) Burklow; very great friends Lloyd and Linda Hull of Puxico, Missouri. She is preceded in death by her parents Estel and Jessie Elmore; one son Gregg Pulley; two brothers Bill Elmore and Glen Elmore and one sister Louise Burklow. A host of family and friends also survive.

Interment will be held at the Brown Chapel Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri.

Deldon Atlas Dordon of Fisk, Missouri son of the late Otis and Dorothy (Coulter) Dordon born on February 19, 1946 in Winchester, Arkansas passed away on December 28, 2021 in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 75 years.
Deldon was a kind soul with a love for animals. He was a true cowboy at heart who’s most precious belonging was his freedom. He was laid to rest with full military honors in a beautiful service. Deldon was a Army Specialist of the fourth Rank. He received the National Defense Service Medal the Good Conduct Medal and was a Marksman who served in the Korean War. He couldn’t have children but loved his family and will be dearly missed by many.
Deldon is survived by two brothers Kelvin Dordon of Bloomfield, Missouri and Nicky Dordon of Grand Pass, Orgeon; two sisters Karen Garris of Cranberry, Texas and Mary Donahue of Panama City, Florida. Deldon was preceded in death by his parents Otis and Dorothy Dordon; five brothers and three sisters. A host of family and friends also survive.

Judy Leota Carter, daughter of the late Gale Smiley and Leota Lambert Smiley, was born on May 31, 1947, in Malden, Missouri, and departed this life on January 9, 2022, at her residence in Bernie, Missouri, at the age of 74 years.
Mrs. Carter was the owner of Carter Wholesale Furniture in Bernie, and South Town Gas Mart in Bernie. She was a former secretary for Dixie Auto Sales and had worked as a server at Hickory Log in Dexter. She loved auctions.
On December 23, 1962, in Kennett, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Sherman Loyd Carter. Mr. Carter preceded her in death on December 6, 2015.
She is survived by her son, Bryan Carter and wife Amanda of Harviell, Missouri; by seven brothers, Pat Smiley, Freddy Smiley, Nick Smiley, Eddie Smiley, Dean Smiley, Sherman Smiley, and Jeff Smiley; by three sisters, Melba Wilson, Jo Anne Arnold, and Cathy Owens; by ten grandchildren, Whittney Carter, Chelsea McCabe, James Carter, Mackenzie Young, Glen Thurman, Javin Thomas, Jadin Thomas, Chloe Carter, Jace Thomas, and Ryan Ferraresi; and by two great-grandchildren, Jack McCabe and Ember Carter
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Darrin Carter; by two daughters, Tracie Carter Young and Crystal Thomas; and by two brothers, Art Smiley and Damon Smiley.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie on Friday, January 14, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, January 14, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.

Gloria Blough, daughter of the late Cecil Sipes and Ella Brasfield Sipes, was born on November 15, 1936, in Holland, Arkansas, and departed this life on January 7, 2022, at Cypress Point Skilled Nursing in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 85 years.
Mrs. Blough was a former employee of Purolator in Dexter and a resident of Dexter.
On January 22, 1955, in Hernando, Mississippi, she was united in marriage to Tom Blough. Mr. Blough preceded her in death on February 20, 2011.
She is survived by three sons, Michel Blough of Pyle Town, Greg Blough and wife Amy of Bernie, and Randy Blough of Dexter; by her daughter, Tammy Harms of Summersville; by four grandchildren, Latesha, Jessica, Matt and Elicia; and by seven great-grandchildren, Lauren, Mya, Parris, Charles, Luke, Kesley, and Marlie.
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Alvin Sipes, Bud Sipes, and Joe Webster; by four sisters, Barbara Stearns, Juanita Mosley, Pauline Warren, and Lola Sipes; and by her grandson, Jonathan.
Graveside services will be conducted at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.

Betty Jean Mattingly of Dudley, Missouri, daughter of the late James (Lewis) Franklin Moore and Artie Pearl (Andrews) Moore born on March 01, 1936 in Dudley, Missouri and passed away on January 09, 2022 in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 85 years.
She lived in Dudley all of her life. Betty enjoyed sewing, making quilts, knitting and loved flowers. She was in the Masonic Lodge Order of the Eastern Star. Betty was an active member of Hobbs Chapel Methodist Church. She loved being a mother, grandma and great grandma. Her home was open to everyone and she absolutely love entertaining. She touched so many and raised them all just like her own.
Betty married the love of her life and absolute soul mate, Wiley L Mattingly of Dudley, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 2008.
Betty is survived by one son James JW and Lauren Mattingly of Puxico, Missouri; one daughter Melissa (Missy) Wood of Puxico, Missouri; five grandchildren Casey, Jessica, Jerri, Reese and Della; nine great grandchildren Sophia, Zachary, Jack, Haley, Jeffery, Destiny, Brooklyn, Damion and Freya; one brother James (Jim) Franklin and Welda Moore of Dudley, Missouri; two really great friends Cindy Rhodes of Puxico, Missouri and Audrey Payne of Puxico, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents James (Lewis) and Artie Moore. A host of family and friends also survive.
