Jerry Charles Owens son of the late Orlie Owens and Esley Belle Stephens was born in Powe, Missouri on November 2, 1942 and departed this life at his residence in Bernie, Missouri on April 7, 2021 at the age of 78.
Mr. Owens was a part of Owens Brother Trucking for 20 years. Then he was Owner and Operator of his own Truck along with his wife Helen for 10 years. He also worked at the City of Bernie for 9 years in maintenance. He attended Bethany General Baptist Church of Rural Campbell.
He was united in marriage to Helen Estella Mayberry in Bernie, Missouri on January 27, 1961. Mrs. Owens survives in their home in Bernie.
Other survivors include one daughter, Rhonda Owens & partner Mike Blough of Pyletown, Missouri; by one grandson, Gene Jenkins & wife Allie of Bernie, Missouri; by two great-grandchildren, Madalynn & Spencer Jenkins; also by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death other than by his parents, by three brothers, Buford Owens, Ruben Owens, Bill Owens; by three sisters, Pat Johnson, Amy Green and Theeta Cokley.

Norval Charles Franklin Worley, son of the late William Seward Worley and Ester Mae Wilkerson Worley, was born on May 20, 1924 in Aid, Missouri, and departed this life on April 7, 2021 at his daughter’s residence in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, at the age of 96 years.
Mr. Worley was a veteran of the United States Navy. He served on the USS Putnam during World War II and he saw action in Iwo Jima, Okinawa, and the Philippians. He retired from the Missouri Department of Transportation, where he worked in highway maintenance and he was a resident of Dexter, Missouri. Norval loved playing dominos, camping, listening to bluegrass music, and being around his friends and family.
On November 19, 1946, in Corning, Arkansas, he was first united in marriage to Daphne Hamby. Mrs. Daphne Worley preceded him in death April 23, 1979. On December 1, 1979, in Bloomfield, Missouri, he was then united in marriage to Pansy Strop Mills. Mrs. Pansy Worley preceded him in death on October 20, 2017.
He is survived by his son, Charles Worley (Judy) of Pampa, Texas; by his daughter, Lee Hufford (Bruno) of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; by his step-son, Herman Mills of Arizona; by his brother, Carol Gene Worley of St. Louis, Missouri; and by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Other than by his wives and parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Gene Ray Worley; by his daughter, Lessa Jane Worley Hughes, and by his step-daughter, Shirley Scherer; by his brother, Darrell Ray “Butch” Worley; and by his sister, Jane Larsen.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, April 12, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Chapel on Monday, April 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Rick Roberts officiating.
Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with full military honors.

Sue Hambleton Belcher, daughter of the late Edward Lee Hambleton and Marian Gregory Hambleton, was born on February 25, 1954, in Owensboro, Kentucky. She entered the presence of her Savior on April 5, 2021, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of 67 years after a courageous fight with cancer.
She was united in marriage to Gary Belcher on May 31, 1975, in Owensboro, Kentucky. A true partner in life and ministry, Sue excelled in raising their daughters and faithfully served alongside Gary, who survives of the home in Cape Girardeau.
Sue was known as a gentle mother and grandmother, celebrating the unique personalities and dreams of her children and grandchildren. Her daughters remember with gratitude the comfort they found in her presence.
Never one to draw attention to herself, Sue’s impact on others had a breadth and depth often unknown as she labored quietly to encourage and build up those around her. Every friend of Sue’s knew that she loved and valued them. Her faithful friendship was a living picture of Christ’s faithfulness to her. She was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship in Sikeston, Missouri, and a resident of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
In addition to her roles as mother and Grammie, Sue continued to invest in future generations through a variety of relationships. She was a stand-in Grammie for all the children in her life, loving them as family, and she recently served as a Pre-K teacher’s assistant at Clippard Elementary in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
In addition to her husband, Gary, she is survived by daughters, Sarah Belcher of Jackson, Tennessee, and Katie Reimann and husband Josh of Salt Lake City, Utah; grandchildren, Lily, Noah, Isaac, and Adeline Reimann; and sister-in-law Marcy Hambleton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother, Lee Hambleton.
Visitation will be held at Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on Friday, April 9, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted at Lynwood Baptist Church on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. William Marshall and Rev. Kenny King officiating.
Interment will follow in the Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.

Janis Elaine Midgett, daughter of Cletus A and Opal Wolpers Miller, was born October 31, 1949, in Dexter, Missouri, and departed this life April 5, 2021 at Southeast Health of Stoddard County, in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 71 years.
On February 11, 1966, she was united in marriage to David Earl Midgett of Puxico at Second General Baptist Church in Dexter. Mr. Midgett preceded her in death on June 6, 2003.
She is survived by two sons, David Midgett Jr. and Robert (Michelle) Midgett of Dexter. She leaves two grandsons, Shawn (Sherry) Midgett of Dexter and Kale Midgett of her home in Dexter; and five granddaughters, Samantha Chamberlain of Bloomfield, Natalie Midgett of Dexter, Lacey (Matt) Brown of Cape Girardeau, Hannah Midgett of Dexter, and Sara Midgett of her home in Dexter. Janis raised three granddaughters Samantha, Lacey, and Sara, along with her grandson Kale selflessly in her home in Dexter. Janis leaves three great grandsons, Cole Midgett, Silas Kiger, and Parker Chamberlain. She is also survived by a sister, Marilyn Cartwright, of Bloomfield.
Other than her husband and parents, Janis was preceded in death by her sisters, Lisa and Marcia Miller.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery in Dexter.

Jerry Elmer Young son of the late John Daniel Young and Gladys Hazel Allen Young, born in Bernie, Missouri on October 4, 1936 and departed this life at his residence in Dexter, Missouri on April 3, 2021 at the age of 84.
Mr. Young had retired from The United States Navy after 21 years. He was a Airplane Mechanic, Farmer and a Truck Driver. He was a member of the American Legion of Sikeston, Missouri, attended Northside Baptist Church in Bernie.
He was married to Bonda Ridings. She preceded him in death on October 10, 2010. He married Peggy Joyce Hurley in Dexter, Missouri on February 24, 1979. Mrs. Young survives in their home in Dexter.
Other survivors include two sons, Rick Young of Dexter, Missouri and Paul Breece of Lonoke, Arkansas; by four daughters, Randi Young & wife Theresa of Millington, Tennessee, Lynn McGraw of Millington, Tennessee, Nina Waddle of Cabot, Arkansas and Leona Gray of Dexter, Missouri; by three brothers, Rex Young of Coushatta, Louisiana, Danny Young and Dale Young both of Bernie, Missouri; by one sister, Donna Yeager of Dexter, Missouri; by six grandchildren, Holly, Katie, Greg, April & husband Michael, Paul Earl and Zach; by five great-grandchildren, Faith, Zoe, Alyssa, Halli and Caleb. Also by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death other than by his parents, by two brothers, John Young in infancy and Jim Young; by one sister, Deanna Young.
