Bobby Gene Hayden of Dexter, son of the late Pershing Lee and Ruby Pearl Wilson Hayden, was born in Kenton, Kentucky on September 10, 1943, and passed away at the Puxico Nursing Center in Puxico, Missouri on December 15, 2017, at the age of 74 years, 3 months and 5 days.

He had lived in Southeast Missouri most of his life and in Dexter the past forty years. He had attended the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Dexter and was retired from Monarch Feeds. He enjoyed fishing, camping and going to yard sales.

In 1970 he was married to Phyllis Joan Ritchie in Morehouse, Missouri.

Surviving are three sisters, Imogene Gady of Sikeston, Missouri, Faye Higgins of Soap Lake, Washington and Janice Sue Wood of Summerset, Ohio. Other relatives and many friends also survive. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a step-son, Carl Jeffery Ritchie, two brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 19, 2017, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Dale Holman of Dexter officiating.

Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

Harold Moore of Dexter, son of the late Walter Thomas and Clarkie Virginia Hicks Moore, was born in Holcomb, Missouri on February 18, 1932, and passed away at his home in Dexter, Missouri on December 10, 2017, at the age of 85 years, 9 months and 22 days.

Harold had owned Moore's Auto Salvage in Holcomb before retiring to Greenville. He moved to Dexter 2 years ago. He attended the Seventh Day Church of God in Delaplaine, Arkansas.

On October 21, 1949, he was married to Lola Agnes Ward in Piggott, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on November 13, 2005.

Surviving are one son, Leonard Moore, of Dexter, Missouri; three daughters, Brenda Casinger of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Linda Nichols of Springfield, Missouri, Rose Vandergriff of Dexter, Missouri; ten grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; one brother, Clyde Moore of Campbell, Missouri; one sister, Paulette Haywood of Campbell, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Janie Marie Moore; one granddaughter Diane Rich; one great great grandson, Aiden Barnickle; three brothers, Vader, Cois, and Fordyce Moore; two sisters, Glenda Lewis and Annie Moore.

Visitation was held on Monday, December 18 , 2017, after 10:00 a.m. with services to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Vision of Hope Church, 8802 County Road 765, Essex, Missouri.

Meal followed before interment in the Lloyd Cemetery in Holcomb, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service, Inc. of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Gloria La-marr Adams, 80, of Dexter, Missouri, formerly of Hudson, Florida, died at home, December 15, 2017.  Born July 29, 1937 in Largo, Florida to Cion B. and Letty B. (Slate) Strickland, she is predeceased by:  her parents, two sisters, Patsy Sellars, Ellen Spong; her husband of 38 years, J. Allen Adams, and two sons, Ross E. Fields, Jr., and Lamar “Bubba” Adams, all of Florida.

Survivors include:  three daughters, Mary (Allen) Farmer and Deborah Brown, Dexter, Missouri and Carolyn Beltran, Lake Dallas, Texas; one sister, Jeanette Scoggins, Sycamore, Georgia; one brother, Charles Strickland, Tampa, Florida; Ten grandchildren, Jon Farmer, Lake Wappapello, Missouri, Daniel Farmer, Dexter, Missouri, Charlotte Fields, Patsy Fields, Christopher Fields, Joshua Fields, all of New Port Richey, Florida, Ross Fields, III, Abbeville, Georgia, Lamar (Scott) Adams, Greenville, North Carolina, Taylor Brown, Melbourne, Florida, Alejandra Beltran, Forth Worth, Texas; plus seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Gloria was of the Pentecostal Faith and an avid member of the Upper Room Apostolic Church in New Port Richey, Florida where she cheerfully helped in any way she could from cleaning church to teaching youth.  She especially loved singing in the choir and attending Ladies Seminars.  Her hobbies were reading, sewing, crafts, travelling and watching wrestling shows.

After the death of her husband and retirement from Wal-Mart in New Port Richey, Florida, she moved eighteen years ago to Dexter.  She had been bedfast for the last fifteen years due to a stroke before God liberated her.  She will be greatly missed by all her friends and family and remembered for the cheerful smile and hugs she gave while in the midst of her adversity.

 

Visitation will be held at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church, 625 North Hickory in Dexter, Missouri on Tuesday December 19, 2017 from 9:30 A. M. until 10:30 A. M., followed immediately by services at 10:30 A. M.  Speakers will be Anna Hook and Judith Bentley.  

Burial will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.

Betty Jean Stanley was born on December 10, 1931 in Como, Missouri to the late John Greenlee and Sylvia Morse Greenlee.  

She departed this life on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the Southeast Health of Stoddard County  in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 86 years 0 months and 4 days.

Betty Jean Stanley had been employed as an in-home healthcare. She was united in marriage to James Stanley on February 28, 1969 in Malden, Missouri. He survives of the home in Malden.

Her other  survivors include: Son: Vance Pawielski, Grandson: Vance Pawielski, and 2 Great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Larry McClung and sister: Christine Armstrong.

     

Visitation was held held on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden from 12-2 P.M. 

Funeral services followed at 2:00 P.M. at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden with Mr. James Powell officiating.

Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.

Tracy Lynn Randel Crutchfield, daughter of the late Willie Gene Richard and Barbara Leetzow Richard was born on December 9, 1956 in Saint Charles, Illinois and departed this life on December 13, 2017 at the Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 61 years.

Tracy was of Baptist faith and was a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Timothy Mark Crutchfield.  Mr. Crutchfield preceded her in death on November 7, 2017.

Survivors include: one son, Darrin Randel of Dexter; by three sisters, Luann Shipman of Clarksville, Arkansas, Martha Mace and husband Terry of Sulphur, Louisiana, and Katie (Kay) Costigan and husband Frank of Dexter; by eight nieces and seven nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband and parents.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 1:00 to 2:30 PM. 

Services will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 2:30 PM. 

Interment will follow at the Dexter Cemetery.
