
Dexter, Missouri - The 2019 Lady Cats Tennis team will open on the road at Poplar Bluff on Friday, August 30, 2019.
Courtney Northcutt will play the #1 singles, Kyla Propst will play #2 singles, Jaden Cato #3, Makenna Rodgers #4, Julianna Rivera #5 and Maci Comfort #6.
Northcutt and Propst will play #1 doubles, Cato-Rodgers #2 and Rivera-Comfort #3.

Week #1 is up and ready to play. Deadline for Week #1 is Friday, August 30, 2019 at 6:00 p.m.
The ShowMe Times has made a few changes this year. There will be 10 weeks of HIGH SCHOOL ONLY action.
Just go to www.showmetimes.com click Sports at the top of the page and the 2019 Pigskin Pick'em will drop down. Register and begin playing! The grand prize is $100 CASH!!
Everyone loves to win CASH!!! Would you like to win $100, $75 or $50! Those are the prizes for the 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place winners.
To begin: You will have to Login/Register your name and email before you can begin playing the game!
Week #2 will be available soon followed by the rest of the weeks except for Week #10 which is a play-off week for high schools. That week will not be available until the brackets for play-offs are available. Each game each week closes at 6 p.m. prior to the start of the high school football games which typically start at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evenings. As a suggestion make your picks early in the week. There will be several reminders and a Facebook Event page set up for each week.

Bernie, Missouri - The Bernie R-13 Schools will host their 1st MSHSAA Parent Night on Tuesday, August 27th at 6 pm in the HS Gym.
MSHSAA Parent Night is for all students and their parent(s) or guardian(s) participating in MSHSAA sports or activities grades 7-12 this year.
They will be hosting this 1-night event in lieu of a parent night for each individual sport as done previously.
Handbooks will be distributed and turned in at this meeting.
This must be completed in order to eligible for participation in these sports and activities.

Dexter, Missouri - Dexter High School Tennis camp took place over the summer.
Grades 5-12 were represented.
Former coach Kurt Lovelady and Booster Club President Chris Brannon were the instructors.
"We covered all aspects of tennis. Younger Students learned the basics of forehand/backhand/serve aspects of the game," commented coach Eric Boles. "More experienced students worked on improving game strategy, forehand/backhand play, and the use of the volley. We ended the sessions with small group competitions where students had the opportunity to win tennis-related award packets."

Stoddard County, Missouri - The Missouri Department of Conservation and Ducks Unlimited will host their annual Duck Banding Event at Otter Slough Conservation Area on Saturday, August 3, 2019 beginning at 7 a.m.
An electrofishing demonstration will also take place during the event.
Kids will have the opportunity to assist conservation agents placing bands on the legs of ducks and doves.
The public is encouraged to attend and there is no charge to attend this event.
