Diana Lynn Metcalf, daughter of the late AJ Riddell and Hazel Corbin Riddell, was born on March 3, 1957 in Dexter, Missouri, and departed this life on January 10, 2025, at her residence in Bloomfield, Missouri at the age of 67 years.

Mrs. Metcalf was a former employee of Faurcia in Dexter, retiring with 20 years of service and she was a member of Pleasant Grove Church in Dexter. She enjoyed fishing and crafts and loved having picnics with her grandchildren.

On August 13, 2005, in Dexter, Missouri, she was united in marriage to David Metcalf. Mr. Metcalf survives of their home in Bloomfield.

Along with her husband, David, she is survived by two sons, Cecil Whitaker and wife Cindy of Dexter, Missouri, and Billy Joe Whitaker and wife Ashley of Dexter, Missouri; by her daughter, Jennifer Hector and husband Tim of Bloomfield, Missouri; by two brothers, Jim Riddell of Parma, Missouri, and Charley Riddell of Malden, Missouri; by her sister, Ruth Hicks of Rector, Arkansas; by nine grandchildren, Daisy Stoker, Ely Stoker, Luke Whitaker, Clayton Whitaker, Lydia Whitaker, Calysta Whitaker, Haney Whitaker, Addie McCord, and Bailey Whitaker; and by two great grandchildren, Stevie Stoker and August Padilla Varela.

Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Loyd Jarrett Jr, and by four brothers, Leonard Riddell, Steven Riddell, Clinton Riddell, and Wesley Riddell.

Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Hill Cemetery in Bloomfield.
