In Memory of Susan Watson

Susan Watson, daughter of the late Richard Sargent and Anne Stafford Sargent, was born on May 5, 1934, in Holguin, Cuba and departed this life on December 19, 2024, at her son’s residence in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 90.

Mrs. Watson was a former Spanish school teacher, retiring after 35 years of service. She was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Daughters of the King of St. Mark’s, and a resident of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. She enjoyed volunteering at her church, the gospel mission, and meals on wheels. She also enjoyed bird watching, Spanish guitar music, vacationing in Brevard, North Carolina, football, tennis, and working crossword puzzles. She loved flowers, her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

On December 21, 1963, in West Palm Beach, Florida, she was united in marriage to Thomas H. Watson. Mr. Watson preceded her in death on September 28, 2019.

She is survived by her son, Rev. In April 2024, Susan made the great flight to Dexter Missouri to be with her son and daughter-in-law. At that time she began attending the New Life United Pentecostal Church in Campbell Missouri, under Pastor George Needham, where she made many new friends and family. She became a new welcoming voice to the church and she loved each and every member of the church.
