In Memory of Kimmie Marie Pratt-Hendrix

Kimmie Marie Pratt-Hendrix, born January 3, 1959, was called to her eternal rest on November 5, 2024. She leaves behind a loving family, including her daughter and son-in-law, Nikki and Chris Lathem of Bloomfield, and three cherished grandchildren: Selene Brown, Caiden Lathem, and Cenleigh Lathem.

Kimmie is also survived by her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Rhonda and George Taylor of Poplar Bluff, as well as her brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Lisa Pratt of Puxico.

She is remembered fondly by her nieces, Tonya Vanover and Kristen (Chris) Parsley, and her nephew, Cory (Emily) Pratt, along with many other family members and friends. Kimmie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Joyce Pratt; Uncle Bill and Aunt Marie Buttry; and her nephew, Eddie Vanover, who is survived by wife, Katie, and their three children, Seth, Hunter, and Courtney.

Kimmie dedicated 22 years of her life as the school nurse at Central Elementary in Dexter, where she touched the lives of countless students and families. She was a faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, embodying kindness and compassion in her daily life.

A celebration of Kimmie's life will be held at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, MO, on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 3 p.m. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

In Memory of Jason Michael Blunt

Jason Michael Blunt, son of Thelma Shipman Blunt of Essex, Missouri and the late Curtis “Bud” Blunt, was born on December 12, 1968, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and departed this life on November 4, 2024, at his residence in Essex, Missouri, at the age of 55 years.


Jason enjoyed working as a farmer and crop insurance adjustor for Farmers Mutual Hail Insurance. He attended the St. Joe General Baptist Church in Idalia, Missouri, and he was a member of the Essex/Grayridge Lions Club, the Richland School Board, and the Essex Special Road District. Jason enjoyed playing the bass fiddle, electric bass and Bluegrass music, any instrument he picked up he could learn to play, and he enjoyed helping his community, if there was a need he always tried to meet it. Most of all, he loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his children and grandchildren.


On November 25, 1989, in Idalia, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Shiela Jordan. Mrs. Blunt survives of their home in Essex.


Along with his wife and mother, he is survived by his son, Jordan Blunt and wife Kristin of Essex, Missouri; by his daughter, Emily Blunt of Essex, Missouri; by two grandchildren, Quinton David Moore and Morgan Claire Blunt; by his mother-in-law, Veta Musgrave of Dexter, Missouri; by his brother-in-law, Mike Jordan and wife Cindy of Pacific, Missouri; by his sisters-in-law, Tonya Blunt of Benton, Missouri, Karen Pleasant and husband Dennis of Campbell, Missouri, and Lesa Parks and husband Bobby of Dexter, Missouri; by his step brothers-in-law, Jay Musgrave and wife Beth of Gordonville, Missouri and Kip Musgrave and wife Lisa of Dexter, Missouri; and by many nieces and nephews.


Other than by his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Darrin Blunt, by his father-in-law, James Jordan, and by his step father-in-law, Denton Musgrave.


Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Old Essex Cemetery.

Vallie M. Griffin, son of Gene Norman Mays of Dexter, Missouri, and the late Lewis Fowler, was born on February 19, 1967, in St Louis, Missouri, and departed this life on November 3, 2024, in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 57 years.


Mr. Griffin was a car salesman for Autry Morlan in Dexter and a resident of Dexter. He was a member of the Dexter Elks Lodge and enjoyed drag racing and fishing.


On November 25, 2018, he was united in marriage to Mystie Tankersley. Mrs. Griffin survives of their home in Dexter.


Along with his wife and mother, he is survived by his daughter, Chelsey Duncan and husband Craig of Dexter, Missouri; by his son, Michael Griffin and wife Lacey of Dexter, Missouri; by his step-daughter, Alexis Tankersley of San Antonio, Texas; by his step-son, Brandon Tankersley of Dexter, Missouri; by his brother, Mark Griffin of Puxico, Missouri; by his sister, Mary Fowler of Dexter, Missouri; and by seven grandchildren, Kali Duckett, Lainey Duncan, Cali Duncan, Kora Griffin, Zoey Griffin, Addilyn Johnson, and Parker Johnson.


Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Bloomfield City Cemetery.

Pamela Renee Wyatt, daughter of Frank Miller of Dexter, Missouri, and the late Shirley Reeves Miller Cox, was born on October 2, 1957, in Bernie, Missouri, and departed this life on October 30, 2024, at Phelps Health in Rolla, Missouri, at the age of 67 years.


Ms. Wyatt was a former assembly line worker for General Motors in Flint, Michigan and a resident of Salem, Missouri. She enjoyed cooking and family get togethers.


Along with her father, she is survived by her daughter, Faye Brooke Fulton of Flint, Michigan; by her sister, Teresa Gale Miller of St. James, Missouri; by her granddaughter, Hailey Renee; by two great-grandsons, Sean James and Hayden Chance; by her nieces, Amanda Riggins Talley and husband Clint and Danielle Bullard; and by her great-nieces, Heidi and Alyssa Talley.


Other than by her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister, Kimberly Jane Miller.


Graveside services will be held at Bernie Cemetery in Bernie, Missouri, on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.

Mr. Crawford was a carpenter and enjoyed playing his guitar.,


He is survived by his brother, Curtis Scott Crawford and wife Christina of Dexter, Missouri; by his sister, Ashley Boham and husband Johnny of Dexter, Missouri; by his niece, Brittany Crawford of Pocahontas, Arkansas; by two uncles, Lamar Renfro of Steele, Missouri and Jack Renfro of Dallas, Texas; and by many other friends and relatives.


No services are planned.
