In Memory of Robert Joseph Morgan (Bobby)

Robert Joseph Morgan (Bobby), 70, of Dexter, MO, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Bobby was born on June 15, 1954, to William Joseph Morgan and Barbara Jean Peevyhouse Meeks in Cairo, Illinois. On September 11, 1985, he married the love of his life, Terri Holden. Together, they shared seven children, 22 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and two great grandchildren on the way.

Bobby built a successful business that he was proud of. He had a generous spirit and supported several organizations, especially those serving children and battling hunger. He often included his grandchildren in his charitable endeavors hoping to inspire the generosity in them.

Bobby loved his family. He was a man of many words and was always there to provide guidance. His presence and sense of humor could fill the room. Endearing nicknames, imaginative stories, and memorable catch phrases captivated those around him.

He had been through a lot the last few years. He fought so hard to stay here with his family. Once he knew the reality of his illness, he continued to fight for his family through unity, restoration and witnessing. He is now fully restored with his Savior and will be waiting on that bench for each of us he loved so dearly. Until then…”Be careful, be safe, be blessed and I luva you.”

Bobby was preceded in death by his mother (Barbara Peevyhouse Meeks), father (William Morgan), sister (Kimberly Joann Meeks), cousins Kathy Bruce and Wesley Johnson, and grandson Jaiden Atherton. He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife, Terri Morgan; his children, Misty (Steven) Smith, Shelly (Brett) Bennett, Jennifer (Quinton) Stone, Jason (Cristi) Comfort, Josh (Ashley) Comfort, Amy (Kip) Lemons, Bobby (Rosanna) Morgan; his grandchildren, Samantha, Jacob, Jessica, Jonathon, Isaac, Ava, Eli, Maci, Cali, Jase, Clair, Wyatt, Charlie, Jase, Addyson, Aslyn, Taylor, Kylee, Mason, Harleigh, Hayden, and Hanna; and his brother Billy (Bev) Morgan.
