
Rosie Lee (McBride) Johnson of Parma, Missouri, was born on July 24, 1929, in Newton, Mississippi, to J.B. McBride and Ecelner (Moncrief) McBride. She departed this world on September 30, 2024, at the age of 95. Rosie was a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend. After a life well-lived, she leaves behind a rich legacy of love and family.
Married to Charlie Johnson (48 years) until his passing in 1995, Rosie dedicated herself to her family, she nurtured 12 children. Two preceded her in death: Charles Edward and Cathy. Ten survived her: Randy, Gregory, Vickie Renee, Evelyn, Billy James, Christopher, Reginald, Jeffery, Michelle, and Tim. She also leaves behind 28 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. All of whom carry forward her spirit.
A woman of faith, Rosie found joy in reading the bible and cherished moments spent with her family, often delighting in games like Family Feud and Phase 10. Her warmth and kindness will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery in Malden.
