In Memory of Jacob Kyle Major Hurdle

Jacob Kyle Major Hurdle the son of Tanya Farmer of Dexter, Missouri and Joseph Hurdle of Williams, Arizona was born on November 15, 2008 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and departed this life on September 27, 2024 at his residence in Dexter at the age of 15.


Jacob was a member of the sophomore class at Dexter Senior High School and had attended the Dudley Church of God. He loved to make people laugh, he enjoyed being on his phone and hanging out with his friends. He loved going to the farm and being around horses. Him and his dog Winnie were inseparable, and they enjoyed being together. Jacob loved to play pranks on his siblings and enjoyed listening to music.


Along with his mother, Tanya, and his father, Joseph, he is survived by eight brothers, Braxton Hurdle, Jesse Hurdle, Eli Vaughn, Joseph Hurdle, Damian Hurdle, Detroit Wynn, Randy Wynn and Wedo Wynn; by five sisters, MeLeasa Farmer, McKenzie Wynn, Kylee Hurdle, Raychel Robison, and Elyzabeth Robison; by his maternal grandparents, Connie and Robert Maclin of Hardy, Arkansas; by his paternal grandmother, Shannon Maclin of Dexter, Missouri; by his maternal great-grandmother, Linda Farmer of Bloomfield, Missouri; by his grandmother, Sylvia Kersey of Aid, Missouri; and by many friends and extended family.


Jacob was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Charlie Farmer; by his paternal great-grandmother, Helen Maclin; and by his grandfather, Wayne Kersey.


Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will then be conducted on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. in the Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Josh Hester officiating.
