In Memory of Dannie Ray Hodge

Dannie Ray Hodge, son of the late Cecil E. Hodge and Ada “Teny” Tucker Hodge, was born on February 9, 1952, in Bloomfield, Missouri, and departed this life on August 16, 2024, at Mercy Hospital Stoddard in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 72 years.


Mr. Hodge was a Veteran of the United States Navy, serving in Vietnam. He was a former employee of Arvin Meritor in Dexter, Missouri, retiring after 31 years of service and a resident of Bernie, Missouri. He was of the Baptist faith, and he enjoyed fishing, camping, and shooting matches.


On September 8, 1979, in Kinder, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Patsy Craft. Mrs. Hodge survives of their home in Bernie.


Along with his wife, he is survived by his son, Logan Hodge and wife Halee of Bernie, Missouri; by three grandchildren, Colton Hyslop and wife Kimberly, Karlee Hodge, and Kynlee Hodge; by his great-granddaughter, Aliya, by one great-grandchild on the way; and by two nephews and one niece.


Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Howard.


Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.


Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is assisting with arrangements.
