Mary Elizabeth Kuiper, daughter of the late Paul Brown and Beatrice Brown was born on April 27, 1938 in Caraway, Arkansas and departed this life on May 5, 2024 at Winchester Nursing Center in Bernie, Missouri at the age of 86.
Mary had worked as a truck driver for Gilster Mary Lee Trucking in Perryville, Missouri. She enjoyed traveling and going to casinos. She loved her family, and they love her.
On August 23, 1987, she was united in marriage to David Kuiper. Mr. Kuiper preceded her in death on April 11, 2011.
She is survived by two sons, Glen R. Horton and wife Dina of Eagle Pass, Texas and Paul G. Horton and wife Laura of Marked Tree, Arkansas; by two daughters, Jackie Horton of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Dian Kauble of Dexter, Missouri; by three sisters, Betty Hoggard of Chandler, Texas, Shirley Redding of Caraway, Arkansas, and Shelby Heeb of Harrisburg, Arkansas; by five grandchildren, Tim Kauble, Tori Johnson, Adam Horton, Alina Horton, and James Horton; and by four great-grandchildren, Georgia Kauble, Kylie Horton, Allye Horton and Eli Horton.
Other than by her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, James Warren and Paul Brown Jr.; and by her sister, Bonny Brewer.
There are no services currently planned. Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri is assisting the family with arrangements.
Barbara's memory will be cherished by her surviving family and friends, including her dear sister, Patsy and husband Richard Smith of McGee, Missouri; two nephews, Danny Carver and Stacy Smith; as well as two nieces, Denise Carver and Mendy Ray.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, William Eugene and Nadine Arizonia (Hefner) Carver; her loving husband, Butch Grasham; and her devoted brother, Gary Ray Carver.
A visitation to honor Barbara's life will take place at Watkins Funeral Homes in Puxico on Monday, May 13, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 PM. The interment will be held at McGee New Hope Church & Cemetery in McGee, Missouri at 1:00 PM.
Barbara Jean Grasham may have left this earth physically, but her love and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
Darrell Gene Browning, a dedicated owner operator dump truck driver of Browning Trucking, has sadly passed away at the age 65 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Born on April 6, 1959, in Advance, Missouri, Darrell leaves behind a legacy of hard work and passion for his profession.
Throughout his career, Darrell worked tirelessly as a dump truck driver, showcasing his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family. He was known for his reliability and dedication to his craft, earning the respect and admiration of those around him.
Outside of work, Darrell found solace in various hobbies and interests. He had a profound love for horses and spent many happy years owning and riding them. Additionally, he enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting deer, tending to his yard, and savoring breakfast at the Coffee Shop every morning.
Darrell is survived by his beloved family members: his son Miles Browning and wife Chasity of Wappapello, Missouri; daughter Amanda Sides and husband Steven of Dexter, Missouri; granddaughters, Kerigan Jones of Dexter and Izabella Browning of Wappapello; as well as his sister Judy Allen and husband Darrel of Bloomfield, Missouri, two nephews, Darren Matthew Allen and Jason Todd Allen. He was preceded in death by his parents Hubert Parker and Laura Mae (Daniels) Browning.
The visitation in memory of Darrell Gene Browning will be held at Watkins Funeral Homes in Puxico on May 13th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will take place on May 14th at 11:00 AM with interment immediately following in the Fagan Cemetery.
Darrell will be remembered for not only his professional dedication but also for the love he shared with his family and the joy he found in simple pleasures. His presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Barbara Rice daughter of the late Homer Montgomery and Imogene Malone Montgomery was born on July 13, 1943 in Bloomfield, Missouri and departed this life on May 12, 2024 at the Prairie View Skilled Nursing Home in Bloomfield at the age of 80.
Mrs. Rice worked as the secretary to the principal for Bloomfield Elementary Public School and was a member of Trinity Methodist Church in Bloomfield. She enjoyed playing cards with “The Golfers”. She loved all things Bloomfield and could be found supporting the Wildcats every time they had an event. She was a member of the Bloomfield Alumni Association. She was the definition of a social butterfly and absolutely loved people.
On May 27, 1961 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Dale Rice in Aquilla, Missouri. Mr. Rice preceded her in death on July 3, 1998.
She is survived by her son Loyd Rice and wife Heather of Bloomfield, Missouri; by her daughters, Rhonda Stogsdill and husband Rusty of Bloomfield, Missouri, Tammy Sells of Dexter, Missouri and Jennifer Hampton of Dexter, Missouri; by seven grandchildren, Jake Rice and fiancé Morgan, Joe Rice and wife Maycie, James Rice, Drew Shipman and wife Lynn, Joey Guiling and wife Kara, Chris Guiling and wife Pam, and Madilyn Hampton; and by eight great-grandchildren, Miles Shipman, Kennedy Shipman, Tanner Guiling, Chase Guiling, Levi Guiling, Reagan Guiling, Will Guiling and Addie Guiling.
Other than by her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Joe Montgomery, and by twin grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Trinity Methodist Church in Bloomfield. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Trinity Methodist Church in Bloomfield with Dale Rogers and Steve Koerner officiating. Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.

Joe Wayne Guthrie, 66, of Cave City, AR formerly of Dexter, MO passed away Saturday, May 4, 2024.
He was born October 2, 1957 in Walnut Ridge to the late Alvin and Louise Guthrie. Joe worked for the Maynard School District as a Vo-AG teacher and later retired as Warehouse Manager for Irrigation Central in Sikeston, MO.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Louise Guthrie; and a sister, Levina Huskey.
Joe is survived by his wife Tonya R. Lewis Guthrie of Cave City; daughters, Leah Guthrie of Cave City, Mandy (Brian) Crowe of Batesville, and Mica (Caleb) Kirkpatrick of Trenton, TN; granddaughters, Hannah Spence, Makayla Spence, Emma Crowe, Addie Mae Crowe, and Ella Crowe; sister, Ellujean Thacker; and brother, James (Rita) Guthrie; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 2-4 PM at Imboden First Baptist Church with a funeral service beginning at 4 PM with Ben Foley, James Guthrie, and Rev. Mitch Grainger officiating. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Upton, Jeremy Upton, Willie Joe Huskey, Derrick Huskey, Donnie Thacker, and Darian Thacker.
