...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING... WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, including the following areas, Alexander, Franklin, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jackson, Johnson, Massac, Perry IL, Pope, Pulaski, Saline, Union, White and Williamson, southwest Indiana, including the following areas, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh and Warrick, and southeast Missouri, including the following areas, Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Mississippi, New Madrid, Perry MO, Scott, Stoddard and Wayne MO. WHEN...Through Thursday morning. IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms will produce heavy rainfall capable of flooding commonly flood prone areas. These storms will also have a tendency to repeat their heavy rains over the same areas.
