Frank Edward Hanor, son of the late L.D. Hanor and Ozetta Curry Hanor, was born January 28, 1933, in East Prairie, Missouri and departed this life on March 30, 2024, at his home in East Prairie, Missouri at the age of 91.
Mr. Hanor was a lifelong resident of East Prairie, where he farmed all his life and ran a mail route for over 26 years. He also owned and operated Western Auto in East Prairie and had rental properties in Nashville, Tennessee. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the First Church of God in East Prairie. He loved to travel and spend time with his family.
On December 22, 1951, at the First Church of God in East Prairie, he untied in marriage to Imogene Hager Hanor. Mrs. Hanor survives of their home in East Prairie.
Other than his wife he is survived by one son, Bob Hanor of East Prairie; one daughter, Janet Sutton of East Prairie; three grandchildren, Scott Sutton of Sikeston, Missouri, Nathan Sutton of Charleston, Missouri, Laurie Hutcheson of East Prairie; one great-grandson, Shelby Sutton of Sikeston, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Elbert Hanor, Ray Hanor, Ernest Hanor and infant brother, L.D. Hanor; six sisters, Vera Baker, Annie Baker, Margaret Wilson, Evelyn Thomasson, Mildred Adkisson and Mary Ruth Morgan.
Visitation will be held Thursday April 4, 2024, at the First Church of God in East Prairie from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted Thursday April 4, 2024, at the First Church of God in East Prairie at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Dawn Walters officiating. Interment will follow at the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Huff, Scott Sutton, Donald Sutton, Mike Sprinkles, Mickey Lay and Jay Childers.
