Terry Shewell, son of the late Charles B. Shewell and Leota N. Daniel Shewell, was born in Jackson County, Missouri on January 7, 1948 and departed this life at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo. On March 30, 2024 at the age of 76.

Mr. Shewell was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was a Foreman at Union Pacific Railroad for 36 years and was of Baptist Faith.

He was united in marriage to Amy Leona Messmore in North Kansas City, Missouri on April 2, 1999. Mrs. Shewell survives of the home in Puxico, Missouri.

Other survivors include three daughters, Katheryne Domville of Blue Springs, Missouri, Kaitlyn Stevens & husband Nathan of Dudley, Missouri and Casey Shewell of Puxico, Missouri; by one sister, Linda Burch & husband Alan of Blue Springs, Missouri; by one sister-in-law, Carol Shewell of Kansas City, Kansas; by Casey Seabaugh, Home Health Nurse that has taken care of Mr. Shewell for over two years and has become as a beloved daughter; by six grandchildren, Ayden Stevens, Case Wilcox, Greyson Stevens, Eevee Shewell, Lyle Shewell and Silver Shewell; by one great-granddaughter, April; also by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death, other than by his parents, by one daughter, Patricia Shewell; by three brothers, Chuck Shewell, Larry Shewell and John Michael Shewell; and by one sister, Sandy Chapin.

Friends may call at Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 4, 2024 in the Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ben Beecher officiating. Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Mathis Funeral Home of Bernie is assisting with arrangements.
