
Denton Lee Musgrave, son of the late Joe Musgrave and Allie Lambert Musgrave, was born on September 7, 1938, in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on January 26, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of 85 years.
Mr. Musgrave was the former owner of Musgrave Appliance Service in Dexter, Missouri, and a resident of Dexter. He was a member of the Missouri National Guard in Dexter for 10 years, a member of New Bethel Church in Dexter, a former Boy Scout Leader, and a member of the Dexter Jaycees, Dexter Elks, and the Missouri Blue Grass Association.
He was first united in marriage to Jo Nell Bennett and to this union two sons were born. He was then united in marriage to Veta Phillips, on August 17, 1985, in Dexter, Missouri. Mrs. Musgrave survives of their home in Dexter.
Along with his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jay Musgrave and wife Beth of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Kip Musgrave and wife Lisa of Dexter, Missouri; by his stepson, Mike Jordan and wife Cindy of Pacific, Missouri; by three stepdaughters, Karen Pleasant and husband Dennis of Campbell, Missouri, Lesa Parks and husband Bobby of Dexter, Missouri, and Shiela Blunt and husband Jason of Essex, Missouri; by his sister, Pat Eubanks of Springfield, Missouri; and by fifteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, January 28, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
