
Dexter High School held its 2024 Winter Homecoming coronation on Friday, January 19th at the Bearcat Event Center. The boys basketball team hosted the New Madrid County Central Eagles.

Averee Ackman was nominated by the Wrestling team and is a junior at DHS.
She is the daughter of Jonathan and Amanda Guite and Trey and Leslie Ackman.
Averee is a member of the Lady Bearcat Basketball Team, Football Cheer Team, Sr., Beta Club, Pep Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and FCCLA. She is also involved in her church youth group.
Her future plans after graduating high school are to attend a four year university and become an Aesthetic Nurse.
She is escorted by Kayden Hart.
He is a freshman at DHS and is the son of Kim and Brenda Hart.
He is on the Football Team, Wrestling Team, and Track & Field Team.
When asked to describe Averee in three words, Kayden said, "Averee is confident, intelligent, and passionate!"

Dexter High School announced the candidates for the 2023-2024 Winter Homecoming which will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024 between the junior varsity and varsity home basketball games.

Avery Riley was nominated by the boys basketball team and will be escorted by Gibson Booker
Emma Dorton was nominated by the Cheer Team and will be escorted by Ethan Zabelin.
Abbie Lloyd was nominated by the girls basketball team and will escorted by Hunter Massey.
Marie Fees was nominated by the girls basketball team and will be escorted by Joseph Pasley.
Allison Turbo was nominated by the boys basketball team and will be escorted by Devin Turbo, her brother.
Amelia Jenkins was nominated by the dance team and will be escorted by Will Guethle.
Lilly Crocket was nominated by the Wrestling team and will be escorted by Langston Werneck.

Students at T.S. Hill Middle School 6th grade sponsored 3,137 wreaths for the Wreaths Across America at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Together the students raised $35,552 and was the largest thus far for the school.
Mr. Terry Bryeans' seventh hour history class sold the most wreaths.
