Glenda Faye Broaddus, daughter of the late Leonard Preston-Wilson Rhine and Ruby Lee Rhine (Birdsong) was born on April 13, 1945, in Bell City, Missouri, and departed this life on January 17, 2024, at Christian Extended Care and Rehab in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of 78 years.
Mrs. Broaddus had worked for SEARS and was a resident of Florissant, Missouri.
She was united in marriage to Samuel Mbugua. Mr. Mbugua survives of their home in Florissant.
Along with her husband, she is survived by three sons, Timothy Abner, Jerry Broaddus, and Rodney Broaddus; by two brothers, Glen Rhine, and Leonard Preston Rhine (Uncle Duke); by four sisters, Sherry McAnulty, Rosalee Rhine, Connie Sutten, and Barbara Rhine; and by four grandchildren, Thomas Abner, Chelsey Abner, Clayton Broaddus, and Blake Broaddus.
Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Rex Broaddus.
Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter on Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. A funeral mass will follow at 12:30 p.m. with Father David Coon officiating. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery.
