Financial Payments for October :
Basic Formula:
The pandemic provision was applied for districts and payment was based on the current data available for Fiscals Years 23-24, 22-23, 21-22, 20-21, or 19-20 weighted average daily attendance (WADA). October’s payment was: $580,734.00.
Classroom Trust Fund:
The payment was calculated using FY 2022-23 ADA data. The pandemic provision does not apply to this payment for FY 2024: $75,559.73.
Proposition C:
The payment was calculated using FY 2022-23 ADA data. The pandemic provision does not apply to this payment for FY 2024: $256,742.31.
Transportation:
The 2023 payment was based on the FY 2022-23 June transportation payment data. The August and September payments will also use the June 2023 Transportation payment. The new FY 2024 appropriation will not be used until the first live payment of the year which is scheduled to be calculated in October 2023. The payment was $75,559.73.
Please note: The pandemic provision has been applied in regards to WADA. We are utilizing our WADA from the 20-21 school year. This provision will not be extended past 2024.

CSIP Update-
Our CSIP, pre-planning guide, and response to standards is currently being reviewed by a committee. In regards to the DCI program, administrators and the math curriculum team have had their 2nd meeting regarding DACL. We have several teachers participating in LETRS training. Last week I was informed we received the DESE State-Evidence Based Reading Program Grant. This will allow the district to be reimbursed the $500 stipend paid to these staff members for the additional work this program requires.

Announcements-
We were awarded the State Evidence Based Reading Program Grant.
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library-All MO children under five years old are now able to register for the imagination library. There is no deadline to register. The library is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by providing age-appropriate books each month to children free of charge. Books will be mailed directly to the homes of registered children every month. Visit, Imaginationlibrary.com to sign up.
DESE’s Exemplary School Library Program for the 23-24 school year is now taking applications. School librarians must request an application from Lisa.Scroggs@dese.mo.gov
This application is due March 7th.
Pioneer in Education Award-Nominations Open-For 50 years the State Board of Education and DESE have selected individuals to be honored as Pioneers in Education. There has been a special caucus for the Republican party added on March 2, 2024.
The Chamber of Commerce is now accepting application submissions for the Educator of the Year. The application deadline is 1/26/2024.
