Ronald Dreschel, son of the late Alfred & Catherine Dreschel was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 17, 1937, and departed this life on November 18, 2023, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 86.
Mr. Dreschel, previously of Bloomfield, Missouri, recently moved to Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He worked at Gates Rubber Company based in Denver, Colorado until his retirement in 1993. He served on the Bloomfield Housing Board Authority from 2004 to 2021.
He enjoyed meeting John Pruitt, Phyllis Kull, Joe Hankins and other close friends for breakfast and discussing current events at Corner Café in Dexter, Missouri. He was an avid sports fan and loved to share his wealth of knowledge on his favorite sport, baseball. He was of the Methodist faith.
Along with his wife, Violet Dreschel, of the home, he is survived by three children, Robin Kay Dreschel, Parker, Colorado, and Kurt Ronald Dreschel, Parker Colorado, and Tanya Lynne Dreschel, Briancon, France; two grandsons, Nicholas Dreschel, Parker, Colorado, and Mathieu Dulong de Rosnay, Briancon, France; Niece, Stacey Bartoli, Los Angeles, California and nephew, Eric Dreschel, Los Angeles, California
Also, four stepchildren, Christy (Carl) Kinnison, Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Michael (Lynne) DeWitt, Sikeston, Missouri, Mark DeWitt, Carbondale, Illinois, Wendy (Scott) Hepler, Dexter, Missouri; Eight Step-Grandchildren and Nine Great Step-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Dreschel, his mother, Catherine Dreschel and his brother, Dave Dreschel.

Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A memorial service will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.
