Shirley Ann Wethington, daughter of the late Moy Bennett and Lillian Harper Bennett, was born on July 29, 1937, in Bloomfield, Missouri, and departed this life on October 20, 2023, at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 86 years.

Mrs. Wethington was a former co-owner of Wethington Lime and Fertilizer in Bloomfield, Missouri and she was a member of Trinity Methodist Church in Bloomfield. She was a great conversationalist, and she enjoyed cooking and made many great meals. Shirley gave of herself endlessly and loved spoiling her family.

On January 21, 1956, in Hernando, Mississippi, she was united in marriage to Fred Wethington. Mr. Wethington preceded her in death on January 21, 2015.

She is survived by two sons, Tom Wethington of Bloomfield, Missouri, and Mark Wethington and wife Billy of Bloomfield, Missouri; by her brother Bill Snider and wife Sue of Dexter, Missouri; by three grandchildren, Shannon Wondel, Sarah McMunn, and Cory McMunn; and by five great-grandchildren, Chloe, Delaney, Carly, Lane, and Lindsey.

Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Bessie Ruth Mouser.

A memorial service will be held at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield on Monday, October 23, 2023, at 10:00 a.m.
