Leroy Waters of Parma, Missouri, the son of the late Art Lee Waters Sr. and Margaret C. (Latimore) Waters was born in Morehouse, Missouri, on March 26, 1959, and passed from this life in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on September 10, 2023, at the age of 64 years.
Leroy lived in the Southeast Missouri area all of his life. He was of the Baptist Faith. Leroy served proudly in the United States Marine Corp.
He enjoyed working on cars, detailing cars, talking with his friends, spending time with family and spoiling his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Waters; five sons, Travis Johnson of Killeen, Texas; Durall Waters of Parma, Missouri; Derekis Johnson of Indiana; Jusdin Waters of Parma, Missouri; and Gabriel Waters of Parma, Missouri; three daughters, Sherina Perkins of New Madrid, Missouri; Jasmine Morgan of Sikeston, Missouri; Anna Waters of Sikeston, Missouri; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren with two more on the way; six brothers, Freddie (Jennifer) Latimore of St. Louis, Missouri; Art Lee Waters Jr. of Sikeston, Missouri; John (Tamela) Waters of Cape Girardeau, Misssouri; Kenneth (Carolyn) Waters of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; Ray (Umeka) Waters Sr. of New Madrid, Missouri; and Larry Waters Sr. of Parma, Missouri; one sister, Sylvia Waters of Sikeston, Missouri; three close personal friends, David BoBo, Big Lee and Theo; as well as a host of family and friends.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Robert Waters Sr.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, September 15, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Michael Leroy Bardwell 67, of Essex, Missouri died Sunday February 5, 2023. He was a loving Son, Brother and Uncle.
Mike was born in Joliet, Illinois on April 9, 1955. He graduated from Joliet Central High School in 1972 and moved to Malden, Missouri in 1982 where he worked for Arvin Mfg. Co. in Dexter, Missouri.
He loved to hunt, go fishing and just being outdoors.
Mike is survived by his sisters, Cheryl Barreto, Donna Foster and Barbara Wise. One brother, Mark Lange, as well as six Nephews, one Niece, four Great Nephews and one Great Niece.
He is proceeded in death by his Parents Robert and Mary Lange, two Sisters Cindy and Jackie and his dog Max.
Graveside services will be held at Dexter Cemetery on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
Jeffrey Scott Davis, age 58, of Wappapello, formerly of East Prairie, Missouri, passed away Sept. 4, 2023, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
He was born Oct. 7, 1964, in Sikeston, to Bill Davis and Alberta Furlong Davis, who survive of East Prairie. Jeffrey spent over 35 years working in the medical field, beginning as an EMT for Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston and eventually working his way into the clinical field of medicine. He most recently was employed by Managed Care in Sikeston until ill health forced his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and being with his family. He also loved spending time with his dog, Lillie.
Jeffrey is survived by his sweetheart of 14 years, Gloria Triplett of the home; his daughter, Jessica Barricklow of Sikeston; one brother, Wayne Lee Davis of East Prairie; several nieces and nephews; and lifelong friends, Nancy Driskill and Melinda Lambert.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Scott Ryan Davis and Britton Tyler Davis; paternal grandparents, Jesse Davis and Letha Mae Littrell Davis; and maternal grandparents, Albert Furlong and Eula Miner Furlong.
Visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 8, 2023, beginning at 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Pastor Wally Littrell will officiate, assisted by Pastor Mark Helton.
Interment will follow in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Shelby Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be: Harold Bays, George Bays, Kirk Myers, Jay Childers, Steve Watie and David Bratton.
Thomas Paul Frazier (Tom), born on September 8, 1944, in Letcher County, KY, died September 9, 2023, with his family by his side in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Tom was born to Pascal and Alva Frazier and grew up in Jackson County, Indiana with his five sisters. He married Rita Lou Wheeler on August 11,1962 and they shared 61 wonderful years together. They had two children, Brett and Mark.
Tom was a member of United Methodist Church at Lake Wappapello and VFW Post of 3416 Auxiliary of Wappapello.
Tom had a successful career with Arvin Industries Automotive and retired in 2006. Throughout his life Tom loved to fish, golf, go boating on Lake Wappapello, and hunt. He loved watching Indiana Hoosier Basketball and St. Louis Cardinal baseball. Often surrounded with family and friends, they will fondly remember his generous heart, silly personality and big laugh.
Tom was preceded in death by his two parents, Pascal Frazier and Alva Frazier, his son Brett Frazier, and his grandson Jarrett Frazier.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Frazier of Wappapello, MO; by his son, Mark Frazier and wife Dana Frazier of Claremont, NC; by his granddaughter Hannah Oxenford and husband Leland Oxenford of Statesville, NC by his granddaughter Haley Knicely and husband Taylor Knicely of Statesville, NC; by his great granddaughters Lillian Oxenford and Hollins Knicely; by his 5 sisters, Phyllis, Patsy, Janet, Diane, and Mary. Tom also leaves behind his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will all miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. and will be available for viewing by webcast.

Judy Ann Hubbard, daughter of the late E. C. “Jake” Gaines and Flossie Alberta Jackson Gaines, was born on February 6, 1944, in Dexter, Missouri, and departed this life on September 7, 2023, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of 79 years.
Mrs. Hubbard was a former secretary for Countywide Abstract. She was a member of Mt. Gilead Hill General Baptist Church and a resident of Dexter, Missouri.
On November 24, 1960, in Dexter, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Roger Hubbard. Mr. Hubbard survives of their home in Dexter.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her son, Brad Hubbard and wife Christi of Dexter, Missouri; by her daughter, Kim Midkiff of Dexter, Missouri; by five grandchildren, Jackson Hubbard, Jeb Hubbard, Tate Midkiff, Zach Midkiff and wife Kelly, and Lexa Midkiff; and by her great-granddaughter, Faith Midkiff.
Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Robert Midkiff, and by her sister, Glenda Kay Wolpers.
