
Elsie Pauline Rhine of Dexter Missouri, daughter of the late Tony and Elsie Mae (Gordon) Bolden was born October 18, 1925, in Kennett, Missouri, and passed from this life on May 19, 2023, at Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 97.
Elsie had lived in the Southeast Missouri for most of her life. She was a member of the Nazarene Church of Bloomfield. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, arts and crafts, ceramics, collecting angel figurines, listening to audio books, but most important spending time with family. She also was member of the Rosie The Riveters during World War Two doing her part.
He married Cleo "Joe" Rhine in Gray Ridge, Missouri, on September 27, 1941, and remained married until his passing on May 24, 1997.
She is survived by two sons, Joe Bill (Tammy) Rhine of Dexter, Missouri; Jamie Paul (Susanne) Rhine of Plainfield, Indiana; two daughters, Mary Virginia (Richard) Horkey of Rapid City, South Dakota; Peggy Norma (Richard) Hughey of Olathe, Kansas; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; A close personal friend Mrs Kitty Houchins, as well as a host of family and friends also survive.
Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son; Herbert Cleo Rhine; one daughter, Doris Jean Snyder; one brother, Delbert Bolden; three sisters, Floy Crutcher, Irene Barnes and Ruby Rhine.
Visitation service will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24 2023, with service to follow at the Watkins And Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter, Missouri, with Sister Patricia Wilson officiating.
Interment will follow at the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral of Dexter in charge of all arrangements. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
