DHS Class of 2023 Baccalaureate Service to be Held on Sunday, May 14th

The Dexter High School Class of 2023 will have their Baccalaureate Service held on Sunday, May 14th at 6 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church.  All Class of 2023 graduates are invited to attend.  This is a non-denomination event and anyone is welcome.  You do not have to attend a church to attend Baccalaureate Services.

Graduates will be dressed in their caps and gowns.

The Welcome and Prayer will be by Pastor Dale Jones.

Worship will be led by graduating seniors Molly Simmons and Grace Sepulvado.

Introduction of Speakers will be by Pastor Darin Kleeman.

Speakers will be graduating students Jayci Holcomb, Callie Whitaker, and Cole Gibson.

Alumni speaker is Garrison Collier.

Benediction will be by Pastor Lonnie Mittag.

There will be a cake reception following the Baccalaureate Service upstairs.  At that time the media would like to get a group photo of those in attendance.

The First Assembly of God Church is located at 911 Brown Pilot Lane just behind Southwest Elementary.

Dexter First Assembly Women's Ministry Trivia Night

Dexter First Assembly Women's Ministry Invites You to Trivia Night to benefit Missions.

The event will be held on March 10, 2023 at the church located at 911 Brown Pilot Lane in Dexter.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and trivia begins at 6:30 p.m.

Teams of 8 and cost is $80 per team.  There will be cash prize, concessions, silent auction, and 50/50 raffle.

Limited space available.

7th Annual Prayer Walk for Bloomfield Schools

Bloomfield, MO - Just under 100 people attended the 7th Annual Prayer Walk for Bloomfield Schools on Monday, August 22, 2022.  This is not a school event, but a community event. 

Participants gathered for a group prayer for the safety of staff and students and a successful school year at the High School Gym.

Those that wished to participate walked from building to building prayer over the school, students, teachers, bus drivers, custodians, and general staff.

Bloomfield resident Joe White offered the prayer during the 7th Annual Prayer Walk for Bloomfield Schools.

10th Annual Prayer Walk Held at Dexter Schools

Over 125 people participated in the 10th Annual Prayer Walk at Dexter Schools Sunday, August 21st.

Participants gathered for a group prayer for the safety of staff and students and a successful school year at Southwest Elementary.

Pastor Mike Williams of the First Christian Church, Shawan Cook, Youth Pastor at Liberty Hill General Baptist Church, and Mitch Grainger, Youth Pastor at First Baptist Church of Dexter offered prayers.

After the group prayer those participating had the option to walk or drive to the other buildings (Bearcat Event Center, High School, T.S. Hill Middle School, Charles Bland Stadium, Central Elementary and the Administration Building) on campus and offer prayers.

10th Annual Back-to-School Community Prayer Walk at Dexter Public Schools

Dexter, MO - Please join Mitch Grainger, Youth Pastor at First Baptist Church of Dexter on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at 6 p.m. for a Back 2 School Prayer Walk beginning at Southwest Elementary.

Everyone will meet at Southwest Elementary School and walk around Southwest Elementary, Central Elementary, T.S. Hill Middle School, Dexter High School, Charles Bland Football Stadium, and the Dexter School Administration Building and pray.

It is an opportunity to pray for our children, teachers, nurses, bus drivers, school administrators, school employees, athletes, parents, board members and anyone who is involved with Dexter’s youth.

You can walk or just stand and pray.  Groups may form or you may stand alone.  The point being, YOU are invited to come.  

This is a wonderful way to start off the new school year!  It doesn’t matter what church you attend or even if you attend a church, EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO ATTEND THE PRAYER WALK FOR DEXTER SCHOOLS!
