Eula Fern Jones Botsch, daughter of the late Victor Allgood and Bertha Crites Allgood was born on September 25, 1930 in Lutesville, Missouri and departed this life on April 28, 2023 at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter at the age of 92.
Mrs. Botsch was a member of the Bernie Church of Christ and was a resident of Bernie. She had worked at the Bernie School District as their custodian. She enjoyed quilting, cooking and spending time with her family.
She was first united in marriage to Wallace Coy Jones on January 8, 1949 in Piggott, Arkansas. Mr. Jones preceded her in death on July 7, 1990. She later married Erwin Botsch on July 12, 1997. Mr. Botsch preceded her in death on August 2, 2018.
She is survived by one son, Cary Jones of Bernie, Missouri; by one sister, Wilma Louise Edwards; by one granddaughter, Roxann Harris; and by one great-granddaughter, Jazzlyn Harris.
Other than by her husbands and parents she was preceded in death by her son, Lonnie Jones; by her daughter, Cleta Gay Jones; by three brothers; John Allgood, Jim Allgood, and Victor Allgood Jr.; by five sisters, Irene Kennedy, Earlene Allgood, Oleta Odem, Elizabeth Walker and Juaneta Sissom.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 1, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, May 1, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie with Stan Dauck officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
Marjorie Lucille Duley, daughter of the late John Luther Gibson and Marceline Lucille Wood Gibson, was born on February 5, 1946, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and departed this life on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at her home in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 77 years, surrounded by her loved ones.
Marjorie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She loved spending time with her family, hosting family gatherings and spending time with her friends. She was a devout Christian and attended the Risen Church in Dexter. She especially enjoyed her years teaching the Children's Sunday School classes and making greeting cards for her church. Since 1965, Marjorie and John owned and operated Duley Machine Shop in Dexter, Missouri, and she has been a pillar in the community.
Marjorie loved to Square dance. She and John square danced for many years and made many friends. She also loved to travel the world with close friends and made many wonderful memories.
She was united in marriage to John William Duley on February 14, 1964. She is survived by her loving husband John; by two sons, John Alan Duley and wife Garilin of Dexter, Missouri, and David V. Duley and wife Paula of Dexter, Missouri; by two grandchildren, Jeff Samoska and wife Michelle of Houston, Texas and Alannah Duley and fiance’ Madison Craigmiles of Dexter, Missouri; by two great-grandchildren, Greta Doria and Amia Samoska; by her brother, Dennis Gibson of Dexter, Missouri; and by her sister, Betty Fleming and husband David of Dexter, Missouri.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, April 27, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Travis Lambert officiating. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery.

Paul Reinhold Heil, loving husband and proud father, passed away on Thursday, April 27th, 2023. He was 89 years old.
Paul was born on December 13, 1933, at St. Catherine's Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. He was the son of Paul R. and Gretchen Heil, two hardworking individuals who instilled in him the values of kindness, generosity, and resilience.
After high school, Paul enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country. He married the love of his life, Patricia Ann McKercher, and they raised three children Gregory, Dawn, and Daniel.
In addition to being a devoted family man, Paul was an accomplished photographer. Armed with a camera and a keen eye for detail, Paul captured breathtaking images of the landscapes, people, and animals he encountered on his travels.
Paul's other hobbies included fishing, reading, and spending time with family and friends. He was known for his quick wit and boisterous laugh.
Though Paul's passing is a great loss to his family and friends, his legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, and photographs. Each one is a testament to his love of life and dedication to capturing life's most beautiful moments.
Paul is survived by his sons, Gregory and wife Julie of Aurora, Colorado; Daniel and wife Connie of Dexter, Missouri; daughter Patricia Dawn Taylor of Des Moines, Iowa; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Heil, parents Paul and Gretchen Heil, and sisters, Darlene, Billie Lou, and Norma. You are missed in our lives.
Maxine Pope, the daughter of the late John Evans Berry and Mable Jewell Lloyd Berry, was born October 13, 1935, in Leachville, AR.
In May of 1974, in Gideon, MO, she was united in marriage to Lavern Pope. He preceded her in death on June 2, 1992.
Mrs. Pope died Tuesday, April 25, 2023, in Jonesboro, Ar, at the age of 87 years.
Survivors include 2 sons, Tony Weaver of Jonesboro, AR and Ed Weaver and wife, Janet of Hardy, AR, 2 daughters, Kathy Clark of Jonesboro and Kari Weaver of Jackson, MO, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 daughter, Karen Ritz, 2 grandchildren, Sean Crow and Zach Homrighaus, 2 brothers, Harold Hamilton and James Berry and 1 sister, Kay Stanley.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, April 28, 2023 at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will follow at 11:00 A.M., in the chapel, with Martin Weaver and Brother Paul Karratti officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
Alan Leigh Hart, son of the late Martin Alan “M. A.” Hart and Anita Eloise Myrick Hart, was born on May 27, 1949, in San Angelo, Texas, and departed this life on April 25, 2023, at his daughter’s home in Bloomfield, Missouri, at the age of 73 years.
Mr. Hart served in the United States Navy Reserves and the United States Navy from January 8, 1967, until October 23, 1969, serving in the Vietnam war, and then he was on inactive duty until January 6, 1973. He then served in the Missouri National Guard with the 1221st Transportation Company in Dexter, Missouri until 1992. He was a former sales rep for US Tobacco and a resident of Dexter. Alan enjoyed playing and spending time with his dog, Otis.
In 1972, he married the mother of this children, Judy Christian.
He is survived by two children, Shelly Young (Jody Pierce) of Bloomfield, Missouri, and Corey (Sara) Hart of Advance, Missouri; by seven grandchildren, Dylan (Anna) Bader of Bloomfield, Missouri, Brooke Pennebaker (Joey Clubb) of Bloomfield, Missouri, Rayne Young of Bloomfield, Missouri, Brady (Skyla) Hart of Wappapello, Missouri, Dalton Hart of Bloomfield, Missouri, Kaylea Hart of Bloomfield, Missouri, and Avery Hart of Advance, Missouri; by six great-grandchildren, Kalleigh Pennebaker, Paislee Pennebaker, Harper Jo Bader, Ridge Bader, and Bennett Bader all of Bloomfield, Missouri, and Gatlyn Hart of Wappapello, Missouri; by his brother, Kim (Brenda) Hart of Dexter, Missouri; and by a very special friend, Carolyn Young of Shelbyville, Illinois.
Visitation will be held at the Lighthouse Christian Church in Dexter on Friday, April 28, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 pm.
Funeral services will then be conducted on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
