
Missouri State High School Athletic Association (MSHSAA) softball tournament bracket and seeds have been released. Games will be played at Portageville and will begin on Friday, May 5th.
Senath-Hornersville with Southland with a record of 13-5 earned the No. 1 spot.
Kennett (20-8) earned the #2 seed followed by #3 Portageville (12-9); #4 Malden (12-10); #5 East Prairie (13-7); #6 Dexter (6-89); #7 NMCC (3-14); #8 Charleston (2-9); and #9 Caruthersville (1-15).
#8 Charleston will play #9 Caruthersville on Friday, May 5th at 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, May 6th Schedule:
10:00 a.m. #2 Kennett vs #7 NMCC
Noon #3 Portageville vs #6 Dexter
2:00 p.m. #1 Senath-Hornersville w/Southland vs the winning of the Charleston vs Caruthersville game.
4:00 p.m. #4 Malden vs #5 East Prairie
Semifinals will be Monday, May 8th at 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
District Championship will be Tuesday, May 9th at 4:30 p.m.

Free Physical Day will be held at the SE Health Hospital Clinic (N. One Mile Road) on Thursday, May 4th, from 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. for any incoming 7-12 student that plans to participate in sports and/or HIGH SCHOOL band. Middle School Band does not have to get physicals.
A new MSHSAA physical form will be on hand in the Dexter High School office and T.S. Hill Middle School office.
Students should complete the first three pages before meeting with the healthcare provider.
A parent/guardian signature is required on the form.
The school will only need a copy of the last page.
All student athletes must get a physical.

The Dexter Bearcats traveled to district rival Sikeston Bulldogs
The Bearcats bounced back from a rough day on the court at Cape Central by sweeping the Bulldogs 9-0.

The Bearcats travel to Farmington on Friday for a tournament and wrap up the season with a home match against this same Sikeston team next Tuesday.

The 2023 SEMO Conference Baseball Tournament seeds and bracket has been released.
Jackson earned the #1 seed followed by #2 Kennett, #3 Cape Central, #4 Notre Dame, #5 Dexter, #6 New Madrid, #7 Poplar Bluff, and #8 Sikeston.
Records at time of selection were Jackson (6-0), Kennett (5-2), Cape Central (4-3), Notre Dame (4-3), Dexter (3-4), Poplar Bluff (2-4), NMCC (2-5) and Sikeston (1-6).
Quarterfinal games will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 28th at the higher seed location unless the rain on Thursday causes any changes. Those changes will be announced on Friday if that is the case.
Semi-final games will be played at Cape Central on Saturday at 10 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 4:45 p.m.
On Monday, May 1st the games will be played at Capaha Park. 7th Place will be at 11 a.m., 5th Place at 1:15 p.m., 3:30 p.m. is the 3rd Place Game and the Championship Game will be at 5:45 p.m.
