E. S. “Dobe” Crabtree, son of the late Eugene Crabtree and Bessie Huey Crabtree, was born November 28, 1923, in Parma, Missouri, and departed this life on April 16, 2023, at the Lutheran Senior Services in Weldon Springs, Missouri.

Mr. Crabtree was a Veteran of the United States Navy, serving during World War II. He was the former body shop manager for Paddock Chrysler in Florissant, Missouri.

On December 11, 1941, in Arkansas, he was united in marriage to Fern Barker. Mrs. Crabtree preceded him in death on April 11, 1997.

He is survived by two sons, Maurice Scott Crabtree and wife Diana of Eolia, Missouri and Randy Crabtree and wife Patricia of Maryland Heights, Missouri; by his daughter, Peggy Pinto and husband Jim of St. Ann, Missouri; and by seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Other than his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Cleta Ann Branson; by four brothers, Alvie Crabtree, Ervin Crabtree, Cam Crabtree, and Arch Crabtree; and by two sisters, Lavern Hampton, and Laurel Murphy.

Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie on Friday April 21, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Barker Cemetery.
