
Novella Laven McClard of Dexter, Missouri, daughter of the late Luther Cates and May Beulah (Johnson) Cates was born on April 3, 1935, in Bloomfield, Missouri, and passed from this life on March 12, 2023, at her home peacefully in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 87 years.
She attended the Assembly of God Church in Dexter. Novella loved to spending time with her family. Novella worked for many years as a cook at Dexter Public Schools.
She was united in marriage with J.R. McClard on October 25, 1953, in Dexter, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 20, 2001.
Novella is survived by one son, Starlin McClard of Dexter, Missouri one grandchild, and one great-grandchild; as well as a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and one sister; Dorothy Sayre.
Graveside service were held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, from 2:00 P.M. at the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri, with Watkins And Sons Funeral of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Margaret Claudette Pilsing, daughter of the late Herschel Hill and Ethel Wells Hill, was born on November 23, 1944, in Tallapoosa, Missouri; and departed this life on March 12, 2023, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 78 years.
Mrs. Pilsing was a former librarian with the Dunklin County Library, a former supervisor and director for Gideon Head Start, and she was a resident of Clarkton, Missouri. She enjoyed reading and bird watching and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by three sons, Lamar Pilsing and wife Amy of St. Charles, Missouri, Patrick Pilsing and partner Karen of Overland, Missouri, and Murray Pilsing and wife Rebecca of Dexter, Missouri; by her brother, Charles Hill of Overland, Missouri; and by four sisters, Dorothy Hill of Gideon, Missouri, Shirley Costephens of Malden, Missouri, Betty Burris of Ellisville, Missouri, and Alice Charlene Campbell of Gideon, Missouri; and by four grandchildren, Alaina Pilsing, Olivia Pilsing, Gavin Pilsing, and Julia Pilsing.
Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Hill; and by five sisters, Bessie Louise Hill, Pauline Berry, Juanita Berry, Dorris Besselman, and Carolyn Hill.
Graveside services will be conducted at the St Charles Memorial Gardens Cemetery in St Charles, Missouri on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 2:00 p.m.

Yolanda Lynn Kincy, daughter of the late Barbara Sontag Brown and Larry Brown of Bernie, Missouri, was born on November 25, 1964, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and departed this life on March 12, 2023, at Southeast Health of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 58 years.
Mrs. Kincy was a social worker. She attended the Assembly of God Church in Malden, Missouri and was a resident of Bernie, Missouri. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
On June 27, 1999, she was united in marriage to Randell Kincy. Mr. Kincy preceded her in death on June 26, 2014.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her son, Steven Kirkpatrick and his fiancé Tosha Davis of Bernie, Missouri; by her daughter, Cassandra Grammar of Carbondale, Illinois; by her brother, Jamey Brown of Dexter, Missouri; and by five grandchildren, Payton Kirkpatrick, Piper Kirkpatrick, Jase Kirkpatrick, Noah Kirkpatrick, and Gracie Grammar.
Other than by her mother, she was preceded in death by her son, Ben Kirkpatrick; and by her sister, Carol Brown.

Logan Cole Harris was born on February 11, 2007, and left this earth on March 11, 2023
Logan grew up close to his family. He loved spending time with them. He had a smile that could melt your heart. He carried himself through life rubbing laughter and smiles off on anyone he was around. He enjoyed hanging out with friends and playing Xbox in his free time.
Logan was surrounded by love by his father Ken Harris and mother Julie McClendon and husband Randy. Both who reside in Dexter, Missouri. Paternal Grandmother Helen Harris of Malden, Missouri. His brothers Michael Harris (Jessica), Justin DeVers (Danielle), Darrin Conn-Harris (Brandy), Nathan Harris and sister Madyson Harris all from Dexter, Missouri. Nephews Dylan Spencer, Tanner Spencer, Brenden DeVers, Shayden Conn, and Danyl Conn and nieces Taylinn Conn, Lynzie DeVers and Kenzley Harris all from Dexter, Missouri.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, March 16, 2023, from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Celebration of Life services will be held in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 2:00 p.m.

Carolyn Sue Staggs, daughter of the late Elbert Patterson and Wilma Pullum Patterson, was born on July 12, 1946, in Essex, Missouri, and departed this life on March 10, 2023, at Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Center in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 76 years.
Mrs. Staggs retired from AmerenUE and she was a resident of Bloomfield, Missouri.
She is survived by her son, Scott Staggs and wife Jenny of Dexter, Missouri; by her daughter, McKenna Bell and husband Justin of Bloomfield, Missouri; by six grandchildren, Madison Pearce and husband Josh, Brooklyn Staggs, Foster Staggs, Reese Staggs, Gaige Bell, and Maebree Bell; and by her great-granddaughter, Lillian Pearce.
Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Freda Lentz.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Steve Koerner officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Essex Cemetery.
