Mildred Lois Rainey, daughter of the late Merley Quick and Cleo Wilson, was born on January 29, 1932, in rural Bloomfield, Missouri, and departed this life on January 7, 2023, at Winchester Nursing Center, in Bernie, Missouri, at the age of 90 years.
Mrs. Rainey was a former employee of the International Shoe Company. She was a member of the Dexter Church of Christ and a resident of Dexter, Missouri.
On October 17, 1952, in Piggott, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Bobby Joe Rainey. Mr. Rainey preceded her in death on April 11, 1982.
She is survived by three nephews, Jerry Buttry, Larry Lizenbee, and Steve Quick; and by three nieces, Judy Steffensen, Rita Freed, and Mary Ann McColough.
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her twin brother, Millie Floyde Quick; by two sisters, Viola Mae Ross, and Elsie L. Buttry; and by her special friend, Tom Hopkins.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, January 12, 2023, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery.

Bertie Lee Vandiver King of Bloomfield, Missouri, daughter of the late Paul Grissom and Gertie (Ross) Grissom was born on November 24, 1932, in Reagen, Tennessee, and passed from this life on January 5, 2023, in Sikeston, Missouri, at the age of 90 years.
She lived in the Bloomfield area the majority of her life. Bertie was a member of First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield, Missouri. She worked as an Aide for VNA. Bertie loved her church and especially the Womens Prayer Breakfast, gardening, and bird watching. She also greatly loved spending time with family and especially grandchildren. Bertie loved break dancing, swinging a towel and just playing with her grandchildren. She spent her life caring for others and put others needs ahead of herself and she never met a stranger.
Bertie was married to Grady Vandiver on October 16, 1948, in Alcorn, Mississippi and remained married to him until his passing on April 1,1997. Bertie was a dietician and worked in the medical field until the time of her retirement.
Bertie is survived by her son, Jeff (Dawn) Vandiver of Bloomfield, Missouri; one daughter, Angie (Bill) Mahaffey of Brighton, Colorado; fourteen grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen (Ronald) Bain of Jackson, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews, as well as a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Kenny Vandiver and Randy Vandiver; two sisters, Faye Washburn, Joann Wright.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 12, 2023, 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. with funeral service to follow at the Watkins And Sons Funeral Chapel in Bloomfield, Missouri with Pastor Krag Runzi of Cape Girardeau, Missouri officiating..
Interment will follow at the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins And Sons Funeral in charge of all arrangements.
Sheri Lynne Weathers, daughter of Thelma Weathers of Dexter, Missouri and the late Robert Lee Weathers was born on August 25, 1965, in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on January 7, 2023, at the Winchester Nursing Center in Bernie, Missouri at the age of 57.
Sheri had worked at the Hickory House Motel as a receptionist and was a resident of Dexter, Missouri. She loved listening to music, her favorites were Patsy Cline, Elvis and Elton John. She enjoyed watching movies and listening to ghost stories. Sheri also enjoyed playing with her dog, Sandy.
Other than by her mother, she is survived by two daughters, Misty Willems and husband Gerald, and Kayce Mullins and husband Shawn, all of Dexter, Missouri; by two brothers, Ron Weathers and Robert Weathers both of Dexter, Missouri; by her sister, Teresa Weathers of Dexter, Missouri; and by four grandchildren, Gaige and Jaydan Willems and James and Madison Mullins.
Other than by her father, she was preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Taylor.
Visitation will be conducted on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will then be conducted on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. in the Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Tim Russell officiating.
Jewell Fisher, daughter of the late Willie Rhine and Edna Anderson Rhine, was born on June 26, 1927, in Gamaliel, Arkansas, and departed this life on January 6, 2023, at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 95.
Mrs. Fisher was the former owner of Fisher Furniture in Bell City, Missouri. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Bell City. She enjoyed raising a garden and working in her yard, which she received yard of the month for in Bell City.
On February 15, 1947, in Piggott, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Louie Fisher. Mr. Fisher preceded her in death on May 28, 1996.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Ann Overbey and husband Roger of Advance, Missouri, and Terry Lynn Hawkins of Advance, Missouri; by her brother, Cecil Rhine of St. Louis, Missouri; by four sisters, Illine Boyet of Gideon, Missouri, Ann Morris of Kennett, Missouri, Geneva Branch of Arnold, Missouri, and Nola Gilkey of Gideon, Missouri; by three grandchildren, Roger Overby (Tammy), John Overbey (Belinda), and Galen Hawkins (Larissa); by five great-grandchildren, Brogan, Racheal, Jessica, Jake and Josh; and by three great-great grandchildren, Ellie, Lexi and Tyler.
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, J. W. Fisher; by her son-in-law, Larry Hawkins, and by her brother, Jack Rhine.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, January 8, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Lehman Shirrell officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Bell City, Missouri.
