Bessie Louise Cooper, daughter of the late Alford Hill and Maxine Eldridge Hill, was born on April 19, 1949, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and departed this life on October 31, 2022, at her residence in Chaffee, Missouri, at the age of 73 years.
Mrs. Cooper was a former housekeeper.
She was united in marriage to John Cooper. He preceded her in death on March 25, 1987.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Love of Drumright, Oklahoma; by two sisters, Betty Vaughn of Chaffee, Missouri, and Rose West of Tyler, Texas; and by three grandchildren, Autumn Love, Zachrey Love, and Dontae Love.
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jamie Cooper; by four brothers, Freddie Hill, John Hill, Bobby Hill, and Arthur Hill; and by four sisters, Anna Burleson, Dora Mae Burleson, Glenda Starnes, and Wilma Fite.
A memorial service will be conducted at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Dexter, Missouri on Friday, November 4, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.

Mary Ellen Collier, daughter of the late LT Williams and Helen Porter Williams was born on December 18, 1946, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and departed of this life on November 2, 2022, at Cypress Point Skilled Nursing, in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 75 years.
Mary was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Dexter and a resident of Dexter. She had worked at the Florsheim shoe factory, she was a former EMT at Fitch Funeral Home, a recreational therapist for the Veteran’s hospital in Poplar Bluff, an employee for Walmart, and a cook at Dexter Hospital. She was a member of the Dexter Elks Lodge and the Southeast Health Ladies Auxiliary in Dexter.
On December 16, 1988, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Clifton Collier. He preceded her in death on January 22, 2011.
She is survived by her daughter, Frankie Spannaus, wife of Darren of Glendale Arizona; by one grandson, Dane Spannaus of Glendale Arizona; and by extended family, Shelley & Brian McClintock, Mark McClintock & finance Ashley Hester, Sara & Chad Owens, Emily Hester, Eyan McClintock, Paisley Owens, Emery McClintock, Ely McClintock, & Charley Owens.
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Leonard Franklin Williams.

Larry Urhahn, son of the late Clemons Urhahn and Mary Jo Kraust Urhahn, was born on April 14, 1956, and departed this life on November 3, 2022, at his residence in Bloomfield, Missouri, at the age of 66 years.
Mr. Urhahn is survived by many nieces and nephews.

William Harlon Kirkland, son of the late Elmer Kirkland and Alice Flowers Kirkland, was born on April 19, 1936, in Center Ridge, Arkansas, and departed this life on November 3, 2022, at his residence in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 86 years.
Mr. Kirkland was a Veteran of the United States Navy, a former employee of General Motors, and a member of the Dexter Church of Christ. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed gardening and fishing, and he was a jack of all trades. William was a man of faith, he was loved by his family, and anyone he came in contact with loved him.
On March 26, 1956, in Hernando, Mississippi, he was united in marriage to Doris Jordan. Mrs. Kirkland survives of their home in Dexter.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, William Kirkland Jr. and wife Tracy of Hewitt, Texas, and Darren Kirkland and wife Kay of Hewitt, Texas; by two daughters, Vickie Hess and husband Thomas of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, and Terry Smart and husband Danny of Dexter, Missouri; by two brothers, Robert Kirkland of Dexter, Missouri, and Dwight Kirkland of Conway, Arkansas; by eight grandchildren, Jamie Combs and husband Roy, Tiffany Haley, Sheyenne Kirkland, Dakota Kirkland, Billy Kirkland, Laury Duty and husband Caleb, Justin Smart, and Jordy Smart; and by eight great-grandchildren, Alex Kirkland, Kalyn Kirkland, Forrest Duty, Hayden Cottrell, Haley Cottrell, Jackson Cottrell, Hollyn Fisher, and Jaxon Smart.
Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Emmy Freeman and Martha Maulding; and by his grandson, Michael Haley.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, November 7, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, November 7, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Craig Simon and Clyde Jacques officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Delores R. Bailiff, daughter of the late Herman Russell and Blanche Coley Russell, was born December 21, 1930 and departed this life November 4, 2022, at Southeast Health of Stoddard County, in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 91 years.
Mrs. Bailiff was a former educator in the Dexter Public School system for a number of years. She was a member of La Croix Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau for the past 5 years. Prior to relocating in Cape Girardeau, she was an active member in First Baptist Church in Dexter for over 50 years where she served in numerous capacities. Most notably was her commitment as a Sunday School teacher for around 25 years in two local nursing facilities. Her commitment in this area was unparalleled as was her faith, obedience, and service to God. She never missed an opportunity to witness and share her love for Jesus Christ with anyone she met.
She was active in numerous civic, public, and religious organizations. She was a long serving member of the school board. She looked forward to attending the local sporting events. She loved the Bearcats.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was "Granny Bailiff" to many people. Nothing pleased her more than spending time with her family. She truly "lit up" every time she got to see her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
On June 21, 1953, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, she was united in marriage to John William “Bill” Bailiff. Mr. Bailiff preceded her in death on June 17, 1995.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Bailiff of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; by two sons, Doug Bailiff and wife Linda of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and John Bailiff and wife Tammy of Van Buren, Missouri; and by six grandchildren, Erin Vosbrink (Jared Beard), Kayla Martin (Patrick), Charles Vosbrink, Amanda Willingham, Erica Bailiff, and Brittany Taylor (Lance); and by eight great-grandchildren.
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Coley Russell.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
