
Marilyn Deloris Cartwright, daughter of Cletis A and Opal Wolpers Miller, was born April 12, 1945, in Dexter, Missouri, and departed this life October 29, 2022, at Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Facility, in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 77 years old.
She was united in marriage to Loran “Bo” Cartwright on April 28, 1972, in Dexter, Missouri. They enjoyed 46 years of marriage together traveling the country. Marilyn thoroughly enjoyed genealogy, tracing her lineage back to the 1800s.
Survivors include, one son, James L Cartwright of Bloomfield, Missouri and one daughter, Marcia K Enax (Otto) of Robinson, Illinois.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bo Cartwright; one daughter, Amy Elizabeth Cartwright; three sisters, Janis Midgett, Lisa Miller, and Marcia Miller.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Steve Tippen officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Jimmie Dwayne Ross, son of the late George F. Ross and Ruby Cook Ross, was born on October 10, 1943, in Dexter, Missouri, and departed this life on October 27, 2022, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, at the age of 79 years.
Mr. Ross was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving in Vietnam. He was a former employee of Jim Rogers Construction, the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Department, and the Dexter Inn, and he was a resident of Dexter, Missouri.
On May 13, 1989, in Dexter, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Jean Pyle. Mrs. Ross survives of their home in Dexter.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his step-daughter, Joanne Tidwell of Dexter; by his brother, Donnie Ross of Dexter, by his sister, Sue Long and husband Charles of Dexter, and by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Denise Evans Marcum.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, October 31, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, October 31, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ronnie Stevens officiating.
Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Michael J. Norden Jr., son of Michael J. Norden Sr. and Donna Kennedy Norden, was born in Washington, Missouri on July 1, 1972 and departed this life at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, Missouri on October 27, 2022 at the age of 50.
Mike had worked at Steward Steel in Sikeston, Missouri since January 2000 and was a resident of Bernie.
He was united in marriage to Robin Smith in Bernie, Missouri on June 20, 1992. Mrs. Norden survives in their home in Bernie.
Other survivors include his parents, Michael Norden Sr. & Donna of Bernie, Missouri; by one son, Eric Norden & wife Page of Malden, Missouri; by one sister, Tracie Cobb & husband Jeromy of Bernie, Missouri; by his grandfather, Paul Kennedy of Bernie, Missouri; by one grandson, Isaiah Norden of Malden, Missouri; also by other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Troy Norden and Marcus Norden.
Friends may call at Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri on Monday, October 31, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 in the Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie, starting at 11:00 A.M. With Pastor Dale Hartle officiating.
Interment will follow in Bernie Cemetery.

Cassandra (Cassie) Rhodes of Dexter, Missouri, daughter of the late Edward Lee and Diane Lizbeth (Alligood) Edwards, was born in St. Petersburg, Florida on October 21, 1968, and passed away in Dexter, Missouri at Southeast Hospital on October 24, 2022, at the age of 54.
Cassandra lived in Dexter for the past sixteen years.
Cassandra was of the Christian Faith. She loved to DJ. She was a Makeup Artist, loved jewelry, collecting bird memorabilia, fishing, and loved to cook . She enjoyed spending time with family and especially her grandchildren.
She leaves behind her husband Anthony (Tony) Taylor of Dexter, four daughters, Amanda (Dustin) Eagen of Danville, Virginia, Magen Thomas of Dallas, Georgia, Katelyn (Kaleb) Hill of Malden, Missouri, Jessie Willis of Danville, Virginia; eleven grandchildren; two brothers, Will Carmack of Gastonia, North Carolina, Roy (Angel) Wall of Kentucky; two sisters, Sherry (Douglas) Robinett of Invarness, Florida, Rhonda (Anthony) Weeks of Florida; father-in-law, Leon Schuman; a close personal friend, Amy Jackson. A host of family and friends also survive.
Cassandra was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services will be held by the family as a closed family service with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

Donald Wayne Nash, son of Billy W. Nash and Wanda Hobbs Nash, was born on October 31, 1959, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and departed this life on October 25, 2022, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, at the age of 62 years.
Mr. Nash attended the Cowboy Church in Fisk, Missouri, and was a resident of Dudley, Missouri. He enjoyed playing the drums, riding motorcycles, boating and wood working.
He is survived by his father and mother, Billy and Wanda Nash of Dexter, Missouri, by his sister, Pam Stefanic and her husband Dennis of Dexter, Missouri, by his niece, Amber Cage and her fiancé David Boyer of Herculaneum, Missouri; by his great niece, Marissa Cage, and by his great nephew, Kyle Cage; by special cousin, friend and neighbors, Jerry and Larna McGowan, by other cousins, Jim and Gloria, Billy, Randy, Scott, Lori and Don; by his longtime girlfriend, Carla Short of Dudley, Missouri, by his girlfriend’s sons, Robert Short and Michael Short both of Highland, Illinois; and by two special grandchildren, Kryson Denton and Scarlett Denton.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, October 28, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, October 28, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Kevin Murray officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hobbs Chapel Cemetery, in Puxico, Missouri.
