In Memory of Joyce A. Ogelvie

Joyce A. Ogelvie, daughter of the late Edgar Sylvester Campbell and Icel Lee Campbell, was born on April 20, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri, and departed this life on October 23, 2022, at Oakdale Care Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, at the age of 79 years.

Mrs. Ogelvie was a former employee of Town and Country in Dexter, Missouri. She was a member of Sugar Tree General Baptist Church in Bernie and a resident of Dexter.

On June 18, 1961, in Dexter, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Ralph E. Ogelvie. Mr. Ogelvie preceded her in death on July 15, 2016.

She is survived by three sons, Dewayne Ogelvie (Marla) of Costa Mesa, California, Earnest Ogelvie of Dexter, Missouri, and Mark Ogelvie (Pamela) of Dexter, Missouri; by three daughters, Kimberly Smith of Desoto, Missouri, Gayla Ogelvie of Broseley, Missouri, and Michelle Ogelvie of Rolla, Missouri; by her sister, Bonnie Campbell of Dexter, Missouri; by ten grandchildren, Jennifer Hankins (Scott), Ashley Holloway (Alex), Joshua Martinez, Hannah Robison (Thomas), Aimee Tillman (Laramey), Nathan Smith, Jared Metcalf (Aubrie), Hailey Strickler (Brandon), Erin Purcell, and Davis Purcell; and by eleven great-grandchildren.

Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Bradford; by her great-granddaughter, Everly-Rose Hankins; and by two sons-in-law, Greg Bradford and Delbert Smith.

Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will follow in the Smith Stevenson Cemetery in rural Dexter, Missouri.

Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is assisting with arrangements.
