Remembering Our Fallen

Remembering Our Fallen

All service men and women from all branches of the military who have fallen since 9.11.2001 from the state of Missouri were honored in a Remembering Our Fallen program at the Bill Emerson Memorial Visitor Center at the Redman Creek Recreation Area in Wappapello, Missouri over the Labor Day weekend.

The exhibit was on display and featured both military and personal photos of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice and died for our great nation.

The ROTC read all the names of the fallen who called  Missouri their home.  Amazing Grace played in the background.

According to the Wappapello Lake U.S. Army Corps Of Engineers, "The Remembering The Fallen" is a photographic memorial that honors our country’s military fallen from the Global War on terror (9/11/2001-8/20/2021).  It is designed to travel and includes both military and personal photos.  It’s legacy will be that these men and women will be remembered.

This exhibit was on display in the Bill Emerson Memorial Visitor Center at Wappapello Lake.  Special thanks is extended to all of the families, Ms. Mary Bader, Wappapello VFW, Poplar Bluff JROTC, Cape Arrowhead, and all who made this event possible!
