Darrel E. Anderson, son of the late E. A. Anderson and Edna Wolpers Anderson, was born on February 4, 1944, in Dexter, Missouri, and departed this life on September 28, 2022, at his residence in Bloomfield, Missouri, at the age of 78 years.
Mr. Anderson was a former employee of Arvin Meritor in Dexter. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Bloomfield. He enjoyed fishing, collecting Hot Wheels, and playing baseball. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals and taking trips with his kid and grandkids.
On January 22, 1966, in Chester, Illinois, he was united in marriage to Kay Unger. Mrs. Anderson survives of their home in Bloomfield.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Darrel E. Anderson Jr. of Jackson, Missouri, and Robert Gary Anderson of Bloomfield, Missouri; by two daughters, Cindy Joyce Anderson Greer and husband Stacy of Dexter, Missouri, and Laurie Ellen Anderson Peters and husband Jim of Canaan, Indiana; by his brother, Roger Anderson and wife Sherri of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; by his sister, Cindy Gates and husband Mark of Dexter, Missouri; and by eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenny Anderson, Phillip Anderson, and Larry Anderson.
Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church in Bloomfield on Monday, October 3, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted at First Baptist Church in Bloomfield on Monday, October 3, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. John McCain and Rev. Ronnie Stevens officiating.
Interment will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.
