The Dexter Lady Bearcats tennis team opened their season at home on Monday, August 29th against Poplar Bluff. The match was called due to lightning and ended in a tie 4-4.

We had some close matches that we ended up pulling out and I was very proud of those ladies, but we need to learn to finish a match when we have the early lead."

"The girls have been working hard and it was good to see them in a game like situation. They have been putting in a tremendous amount of effort."
The Jamboree also allowed the volleyball team to see some of the things they can do better.
"We talked about not settling, always expecting more from from yourself and your teammates," continued Pulley. "I felt the girls had a lot of good energy and communication during the Jamboree."
"We have a great group of girls, whether they are on the court or on the bench, they are in it and cheering on their teammates. That is a very important part to having a successful team."
