Dexter, MO - All families are encouraged to attend the Back-to-School Title I Meeting on August 22, 20222.
The meeting will be held at 5:00 p.m. in the Southwest Elementary Cafeteria on the Dexter Public School campus.
Topics are "School Participation in Title I", "Title I Requirements", "Parents' Right to be Involved", "Southwest as a Title Wide School", and "Parent Compacts".
Also Southwest Elementary Open House will the same evening from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. and is a drop-in event.
Meet the teacher, see your classroom, drop off supplies and learn about their Title Program.

Tuesday, August 16th at 5:30 p.m. is Freshmen Orientation in the ARnold Ryan gymnasium
Monday, August 22nd is Back to School Night with a picnic and meet the teacher from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
They will serve hotdogs, sodas, and other refreshments sponsored by the Puxico PTO in the elementary physical education room. This will be an opportunity for your child to show you around their school and meet some of their classmates before the first day of school on Wednesday, August 24th
4th Grade Orientation will be at 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria on Monday evening.
Kindergarten Open House will begin at 6 p.m. in the student classrooms also on Monday evening.

Dexter Board of Education regular meeting minutes for Tuesday, July 19, 2022
Call to Order/Roll Call/Pledge:
The Board President announced the meeting is to begin, ascertains the attendance status of all board members, with all members being present with the exception of Mr. Jon Thompson and Mr. Ron Glaus, who attended via electronically. The Board President leads in the saying of the Pledge of Allegiance.
Consent Agenda: The consent agenda was approved.
Public Comments: There were no registered guests.
Old Business: There was no old business.
New Business:
A. The board approved an agreement with Bootheel Counseling Services for a School Based Therapist for the 22-23 school year.
Discussion Items: The following items were discussed with the board:
A. The next regular board meeting is scheduled for August 25, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. The annual tax rate hearing will be held at 5:50 PM.
