Gary Allen Hicks was born September 7, 1954, in Sikeston, Missouri to Joseph Edward Hicks and Margie Nell Harris both, who proceeded him in death. Gary passed away at his home in Bloomfield, Missouri on June 12, 2022, surrounded by his wife and three children.

Gary earned an Associate Arts degree in Agriculture from Three Rivers College and moved to Illinois to pursue his career. There, he met Cindy June Davis and they were married in Urbana, Illinois on May 10, 1977. Gary and Cindy had two sons Wade Matthew, and Dustin Christopher, and a daughter Karlie Sue.

Gary’s career in agriculture brought him back to southeast Missouri dairy farming with his father before moving on to the USDA Farm Service Agency in Bloomfield, MO where he worked until his retirement. Gary was a devout Christian member of the Dudley and Bloomfield Churches of Christ.

Gary is survived by his wife of 45 years Cindy, son Wade and wife Phuong, son Dustin and wife Ashleigh, daughter Karlie, three grandchildren Leightin, Ashtin, and Clara, and siblings Donna Moreira, Melana Long, and Ronald Hicks.
