
Bill Henington of Puxico, Missouri, son of the late William Eli, Sr. and Ruby (Fondaw) Henington was born on November 21, 1932 in Sikeston, Missouri and passed away on June 09, 2022 in Perryville, Missouri at the age of 89.
He grew up in Sikeston before moving to St. Louis he had lived in Puxico where he worked for many years as a Long Haul Truck Driver for Advance Transport.
Bill honorably served his country in the US Army during the Korean War.
Bill was of the Christian Faith and most enjoyed Fishing, Farming and Auto Body Repair.
He is survived by two sons: James "Dave" Henington of Puxico, Missouri and Wm "Tim" Henington and wife Janice of Summertown, Tennessee. Also one sister Charlotte Rowark and husband Claude of Puxico, Missouri, Three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren survives. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister Jacqueline Henington. A host of friends and family also survive.
Visitation will be held on Monday June 13, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sikeston Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Sikeston, Missouri with Rev. Justin Miller of Puxico, Missouri officiating.

Linda K. Smith, daughter of the late Hoyte and Ida Jurline Presley, was born on August 30, 1949, in Poinsett, Arkansas and departed this life on June 8, 2022, at her residence in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 72 years.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and she attended Faith Fellowship Church in Dexter. She was the glue of the family and loved taking care of everyone especially her grandchildren.
On April 5, 1970, in Buckeye, Arizona, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Smith. Mr. Smith survives of their home in Dexter.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Tim Smith of Dexter and Chad Smith of Poplar Bluff; by her daughter, Jewel Lynn Smith of Dexter; by her brother, Dale Presley of Dexter; by her sister, Leann White of Dexter; and by fifteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Kay Smith; by her brother, Harold Presley; and by her sister, Sharon Butler.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, June 12, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Dudley Cemetery.

Kristi Jo Stanford Altman, daughter of Vickie Asbell Stanford McClard of Dexter, Missouri, and the late Ronnie Stanford, was born on August 28, 1971, in Dexter and departed this life on June 6, 2022, at her residence in Dexter at the age of 50 years.
Following in her father’s footsteps, Mrs. Altman worked at the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Department and the City of Bernie Police Department as a dispatcher, along with being a former radio announcer for KDEX. Being a member of the Bernie Church of Christ, Kristi was a woman of faith who often helped those in need. With her wonderful smile and attitude, Kristi was a courageous fighter of metastatic breast cancer for 6 years and nine months.
On June 18, 2013, in Las Vegas, Nevada, she was united in marriage to Greg Altman. Mr. Altman survives of their home in Dexter.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Victoria Hockman of Fort Myers, Florida, by her mother and step-father, Vickie and Curtis McClard of Dexter, Missouri; by her sister, LaRhonda Billingsley and husband David of Dexter, Missouri; by her step-son, Gregory Altman of Dexter, Missouri; by two nephews, Eric Billingsley and Aaron Billingsley; by her great nephew, Brayden Billingsley, by her great niece, Adalyn Jo Billingsley; by two uncles, Rod Asbell and wife Kay of Dexter, Missouri, and Gary Stanford of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.; and by many cousins and friends.
Other than by her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents A. E. and Joy Stanford; by her maternal grandparents, Alfred and Margaret Asbell; by her step-grandparents, Curtis and Dorothy McClard; and by the father of her daughter, Terry E. Hockman Jr.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, June 10, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, June 10, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Mark Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.

Bruce Dewayne Appleton, son of the late Lucian Appleton and Mary Tarrants Appleton, was born on October 10, 1957 at Dexter, Missouri and departed this life at Southeast Health Center of Stoddard County, Dexter, Missouri on June 8, 2022 at the age of 64.
Mr. Appleton was a Land Surveyor for Waters Engineering, Inc of Sikeston, Missouri for over 20 years. He was presently employed by Martin Rice. He was a resident of Bernie and served as Alderman and was of Pentecostal Faith.
He was united in marriage to Karla Kaye Braswell in Morehouse, Missouri on January 5, 1979. Mrs. Appleton survives in their home in Bernie.
Other Survivors include one son, Adam Bruce Appleton of Jackson, Missouri by one daughter, Amanda Nicole Appleton of Bernie, Missouri; by one daughter in law, Andrea Appleton of Perryville, Missouri; by two brothers, Roland Appleton of Bertrand, Missouri and Larry Appleton of Sikeston, Missouri; by one sister, Margaret Moffitt of High Point, North Carolina; by six grandchildren, Giana McCoy, Elijsha Brown, Brooklyn Brown, Roman Appleton, Ellery Appleton and Legend Appleton; also by other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death other than by his parents, by two brothers, Ronnie Appleton and Leon Appleton; by Four sisters, Shirley Kersey, Sandra Odle, Joann and Joan Lewis.
Friends may call at Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri on Sunday afternoon June 12, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie on Monday afternoon, June 13, 2022 at 2:00 P.M.

Joyce Ann Smith-Moore of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, daughter of the late Orville and Gladys (Spear) Townsend born on November 08, 1942 in Acorn Ridge, Missouri and passed away on May 31, 2022 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at the age of 79 years.
Joyce attended The First General Baptist Church. She was a teachers aid for the Puxico School District for many years. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family.
Joyce is survived by two sons Paul Jay (Dana) Smith of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Jeffrey Ray (Linda Sue) Smith of Wappapello, Missouri; one daughter Jerrie Ann Ketcherside of Dexter, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Orville and Gladys Townsend, one son Timothy Allen Smith, her sister Rita Lou and her first husband Claude Raymond Smith. A host of family and friends also survive.
Celebration of life will be held on Thursday June 09, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with Rev. Kenneth Lambert officiating.
