CSIP Process-Dr. Welker and Mr. Ward from the RPDC were here on March 28th and conducted interviews with the teacher and student focus groups.  Today they met with the board at 4:45 to conduct their focus group interview.  The next step in the process will be sending out a survey to the community.  Questions will be generated from the focus groups.

The district has utilized 5 AMI days due to weather and a little less than 2 snow days.  One snow day was made up on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.  We have enough additional hours built into our calendar, we will not be required to make-up the remaining missed hours.

School will not be in session on Friday, April 15th and Monday, April 18th to observe the Easter holiday.  Graduation will be held on Friday, May 20th at 6:30 p.m.  The last day of school will be on Friday, May 24th.

On Friday, March 25th, we were honored to have special guests on our campus.  Commissioner Margie Vandeven, Senator Jason Bean, and State Board of Education Members; Mary Schrag, Kerry Casey, and Pamela Westbrooks-Hodge visited our campus.  They toured the T.S. Hill Middle School, Dexter High School, and Southwest Elementary buildings (time didn’t allow for a tour of Central Elementary).  They were able to meet several staff members and students.  They were very impressed with our campus and the things taking place at the Dexter School.

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 2nd-6th.

A badging survey was conducted regarding the Bearcat Badging Program.  Results are in the packet for you to review.
