Margie Price, daughter of the late Edgar Chappell and Clara Richie Chappell, was born on November 20, 1927, and departed this life on April 28, 2022, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, at the age of 94 years.
Mrs. Price was a homemaker. She was a member of the Lighthouse Church in Dexter, Missouri, and a resident of Dexter.
On November 11, 1944, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Henry Price. Mr. Price preceded her in death on December 2, 2001.
She is survived by her son James Price (Suzanne) of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas; by two daughters, Lee Romine of Dexter, Missouri, and Barbara Hatlevig (Wayne) of Dexter, Missouri; by her brother, Bobby Chappell of Rockford, Illinois; by two sisters, Gloria May Pruitt of Huntsville, Alabama, and Lola Chappell of Rockford, Illinois; by four grandchildren, Jamie Stowers (Blair), James Price (Cara), Tina Russell (Tim), and Tim Romine (Lori); and by fifteen great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great grandchildren.
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, L.V. Chappell and Jewell Chappell, by two sisters, Theda Hemmingson and Enid Chappell; and by two grandchildren, Michael Hatlevig and Lisa Hatlevig.
Visitation will be held at the Lighthouse Church in Dexter, Missouri on Monday, May 2, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted on Monday, May 2, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tim Russell officiating.
Interment will follow in the Duty Cemetery, near Pocahontas, Arkansas on Monday, May 2, 2022, at 3:00 p.m.
