Lori O'Dell is Guest Speaker at Bloomfield Chamber Monthly Meeting

Bloomfield, MO - The Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce held their monthly meeting on Friday, April 22, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Bloomfield.  Deputy Lori O'Dell, D.A.R.E. Officer, Stoddard County Sheriff's Department was the guest speaker.  Food was provided by Southern Bank and catered by Elderland.

She discussed Intruder Training for businesses, the D.A.R.E. Program at the local Stoddard County schools, Crime Prevention in Environmental Design, Women's Safety that Andrew Johnson teaches, and First Impact that John Atkinson teaches.  She also passed out Drug Deactivation Kits for people to dispose of prescription pills that are no longer needed.

The Bloomfield Chamber may offer some classes during the summer.  They will let everyone know on Facebook when those classes are available and what type of Intruder Training classes will be offered.

Mrs. Sue Mayo, representative from the Bloomfield Action Team (BAT) discussed the current fundraiser available to the public.  She has RADA Cutlery available for sale.  You can contact her for more information.

Amy Haas, Chamber President, stated that the Farmers Market will begin the first Tuesday in June at the Elderlan Restaurant parking lot on Highway 25 from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.  Set up is at 3:00 p.m. and no earlier.  Contact her if you are interested in having a booth.  The Farmers Market is co-sponsored by Ozark Federal Credit Union.

There will not be a May monthly meeting due to so many school functions and graduations.  Meetings are typically at noon.

Stars & Stripes Museum to Host Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 23rd

The National Stars and Stripes Museum/Library will be hosting an Easter Egg hunt on Saturday, April 23,2022 at 10:00 am.   Too much going on before Easter, well they have you covered.  The Easter Bunny just might show up for a few photos as well.

Event for ages 5 and under will be inside of the museum and 6 and up are in the field next to the barn.

There will be over a 1500 eggs this year with 50 special prize eggs.   

Bring your kiddos on out and have a fun day at the museum. 

The museum will be open from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

Annual Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce Easter Egg Hunt

Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce Easter Egg Hunt will be on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. in the Bloomfield City Park.

There will be three age groups in three separate areas of the park. 

Ages 0-3 years of age will hunt eggs inside the softball field area.

Ages 4-7 years of age will hunt eggs next to the pavilion on the southeast side of the park.  

Ages 8-12 years of age will hunt eggs in the area of the playground equipment.

The Easter Bunny will also be there for pictures, so bring your phone or camera!  

Each age group will have three special “Wildcat” purple eggs to search for and put in their basket.  Prizes will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each age category.  If you find a special egg come up to the pavilion and a member of the Chamber will have a special gift just for you.  The newspaper will also be on hand to take photos of each group of children who find the special “purple” egg.
