In Memory of Gary Lee Young

Gary Lee Young, son of Earnest Earl Young and Neva Jane Causbie Young of Bernie, Missouri, was born on November 30, 1947, in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on April 15, 2022, at Southeast Health Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 74.

Mr. Young was a former brick mason and a resident of Dexter.

On May 6, 1977, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri he was united in marriage to Carol Chatman. Mrs. Young survives of their home in Dexter.

Other than by his wife and parents, he is survived by two sons, Jeremiah Young and wife Stephanie of Dexter, Missouri and Josh Young and wife Jessica of Dexter, Missouri; by two grandchildren, Bronwen Young (Adam Saylors) and Ryan Young; by three step- grandchildren Jack Carey, Orin Carey, and Drala Carey; by three brothers, Earl Dennis Young and wife Rosemarie of Lee’s Summit, Missouri Chris Young and wife Lisa of Destrehan, Louisiana, and Mike Young and wife Jackie of Gramercy, Louisiana; and by his beloved pet, Booger.

Visitation will be conducted at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Mr. Stan Dauck officiating.

Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is assisting with arrangements.

In Memory of Curtis Jeffrey Richmann

Curtis Jeffrey Richmann of Dexter, Missouri the son of the late Clifford and Martha (Hughes) Richmann was born on August 29, 1949 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri  passed away on April 12, 2022 in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 72 years. 

Curtis was a member of the VFW post of Puxico, Missouri, he enjoyed playing golf, hunting, fishing, woodworking and loved spending time with his grandsons.  He was in the United States Navy and a member of the Corinth General Baptist Church of Puxico, Missouri. 

Curtis married Becky Fowler on June 30, 1973 in Puxico, Missouri. 

Curtis is survived by his wife Becky Richmann; two daughters Shelly (Allen) Clark of Puxico, Missouri and Amanda (Jason) Fortner of Bloomfield, Missouri; four grandsons Bradley Clark, Jeffrey Clark, Trevor Fortner and Tyler Fortner; three sisters Jewell Berrong of Farmington, Missouri, Sue Plunk of Florida and Ruby Shoemake of Farmington, Missouri and several cousins. Curtis was preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Martha Richmann and one brother Carol Lee Richmann.  A host of family and friends also survive. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday April 17, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri.  

Funeral Services will be held on Monday April 18, 2022 at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel of Puxico, Missouri with Brother Jim Clark officiating.

Interment will be held at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with  Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of all arrangements.

In Memory of Arthur Finley Goodin

Arthur Finley Goodin, son of the late Arthur Lee Goodin and Dorothy Finley Goodin of Charleston, MO, was born on August 2, 1949, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed this life on April 14, 2022 at Southeast Health Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 72.

Mr. Artie Goodin was a lifelong Baptist but recently joined Trinity Methodist where he was a member until his death. Artie was a farmer and cattleman, a partner in the auction business with his son in Bloomfield, and an avid history buff. He loved everything about Civil War history. He loved to drive the country and see new things. When not working he could be found at the grandkids sporting and school events.

On July 12, 1975, he was united in marriage to Sarah Ann Laux in Summerfield, Illinois. Mrs. Goodin survives their home in Bloomfield.

Other than his wife he is survived by 2 sons, Arthur Lee Goodin II and wife Emily with their 3 children, Scarlett Emma Goodin, Arthur Lee Goodin III, Noah James Goodin, and Jacob Goodin with wife Ashley along with their 2 children Finley Elizabeth Goodin and Sam Davis Goodin all of Bloomfield; by one brother, John Goodin of Charleston, Missouri and by one sister Lucianne Shoffner of Munford, Tennessee.

Visitation will be conducted on Monday, April 18, 2022 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the Mathis Funeral home in Dexter.

Funeral services will then be conducted at the Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Bro. Ronnie Stevens officiating. Interment will follow at the Bloomfield Cemetery.

The family request all memorials to be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomfield. Enveloped will be provided at the funeral home.

In Memory of Dalton Austin Stewart

Dalton Austin Stewart of Puxico, Missouri  son of Terry Lynn and Tina Lynn (Hendrix) Stewart, was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on June 11, 1995, and passed away in Cape Girardeau on April 10, 2022, at the age of 26 years, 10 months and 10 days.

Dalton had lived in the Puxico area all of his life. He had worked in construction and farming. Dalton was of the Christian faith. He was a member of the Mingo Tractor Club. He was an avid turkey, deer and duck hunter. He enjoyed being a mechanic, driving on gravel roads, four wheeling and fishing.

Surviving are his parents, Terry Lynn and Tina Lynn Stewart of Puxico;  his fiancé Jamie Lynn Rodgers of Puxico; one brother Dylan Hunter Stewart  Alexis Hays of Puxico; two daughters Fallon Grace Stewart of Puxico and Elise Hyslop of Bloomfield; one aunt Lisa Marie Stewart, one cousin Walker Ray Brawley.  As well a host of family and friends.  

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents Carl Vernon and Wanda Stewart, one grandfather Jerry Ray Stewart, and by his grandparents Gary Lee and Patricia Ann Hendrix.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 15, 2022 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the Watkins And Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 11:00 A.M at the Watkins And Sons Chapel in Puxico with Pastor Bill Pennington of Dexter Missouri and Will Davis of Puxico officiating. 

Interment will follow at Little Brushy Cemetery in Wappapello, Missouri with Watkins And Sons Funeral Service of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

In Memory of Judith Rimel

Judith Rimel, daughter of the late Edison Evans and Hallie Christine Baker Crutcher was born on February 17, 1945, in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on April 12, 2022, at the New Haven Assisted Living and Memory Care Center in Tomball, Texas at the age of 77.

Mrs. Rimel was a counselor with the Dexter Public Schools. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter and gave of her time to various roles at the Church.

On December 19, 1965, she was united in marriage to Charlie James Rimel in Dexter, Missouri. Mr. Rimel preceded her in death on May 3, 2012.

She is survived by two sons, Christopher Rimel and wife Anna of Hockley, Texas, and Kevin Rimel; by one sister, Pat Miller-Williams of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and by three grandchildren, Gabriel Rimel, Mae Rimel and Hayes Rimel.

Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, William Evans; and by two sisters, Betty Ann Mouser and Mary Pippins.

Visitation will be conducted at the First United Methodist Church in Dexter, Missouri on Monday, April 18, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Funeral services will then be conducted at the First United Methodist Church on Monday, April 18, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Larry Lawman officiating. Interment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, PO Box 156, Dexter, Missouri 63841.

Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is assisting with arrangements.
