
Roy Lee Roberts, son of the late Lola Springer, was born on September 5, 1941, in Perry, Iowa, and departed this life on April 7, 2022, at Parkland Health in Farmington, Missouri, at the age of 80 years.
Mr. Roberts was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving in Vietnam. He was a former employee of NER in Blytheville, Arkansas. He attended the Lighthouse Christian Center in Dexter, Missouri, and was a resident of Dexter. Roy loved NASCAR and baseball, and he played baseball into his 40’s.
On February 14, 1998, in Paragould, Arkansas, he was united in marriage to Ginger Young. Mrs. Roberts survives of their home in Dexter.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Kris Roberts of Sartell, Minnesota and Angela Harris of Grimes, Iowa; by three step-daughters, Tammy Hutchison of Flippin, Arkansas, Wendy Salas and husband JC of Atlanta, Georgia, and Lorie Wilson of St. Louis, Missouri, by his brother, Dale Roberts of Iowa; and by fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Other than by his mother, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Roberts and Butch Roberts; and by his sister, Betty Roberts.
Visitation will be held at the Lighthouse Christian Center on Monday, April 11, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Funeral Services will then be conducted on Monday, April 11, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Tim Russell officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
