In Memory of Lem Hubbard

Lem Hubbard, son of the late Richard A. Hubbard and Cora Terry Hubbard, was born on April 22, 1945, in Blytheville, Arkansas and departed this life on April 2, 2022, at Southeast Health of Stoddard County in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 76 years.

Mr. Hubbard was a jeweler and the owner of The Jewelry Shop in Dexter. He was a member of the Dexter Church of Christ, and a resident of Dexter.

On August 9, 1980, in Memphis Tennessee, he was united in marriage to Sherry Jones. Mrs. Hubbard survives of their home in Dexter.

In addition to his wife Sherry, he is survived by three sons, Michael Hubbard and wife Chelsea of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Jonathan Hubbard and wife Elise of Lansing, Kansas, and Tim Hubbard and wife Micah of Springfield, Missouri; by his brother; Ira Hubbard of Germantown, Tennessee; and by six grandchildren; Christian Michael Hubbard, Jonah Wesley Hubbard, Wesley Owen Hubbard, Ily Marie Hubbard, Rue Everett Hubbard, and Ren Andrew Hubbard.

Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Oscar Hubbard, James Hubbard and Eugene Hubbard; and by five sisters, Louella Garrett, Annie Scott, Jennie Bratcher, Gladys Hubbard, and Wilma Brogdon.

Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, April 8, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is assisting with arrangements.
