
Maxine G. Harper, daughter of the late Ethel Smithson Guilliams and Marvin Guilliams, was born on January 3, 1933, in Gatewood, Missouri, and departed this life on March 25, 2022, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, at the age of 89 years.
Mrs. Harper was a former employee of the Missouri Department of Family Services and the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Office. She was a member of the Bloomfield Church of Christ and the AMVETS Auxiliary, and she was a resident of Bloomfield, Missouri. Mackie enjoyed playing golf and bridge. Mackie and Don spent several years going to Current River to the cabin they built and loved.
On September 30, 1950, in Piggott, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Don Harper. Mr. Harper preceded her in death on November 6, 2015.
She is survived by her son, “Rip” Harper and wife Karen of Dexter, Missouri; by her daughter, Melissa Bowie of Dudley, Missouri; by four grandchildren, Ben Harper Bowie and wife Jennifer, Amy Marie Briggs and husband Adam, Theron A. Harper, and Beth Fowler and husband Billy; and by three great-grandchildren, RJ Bowie, Theo Briggs, and Gracyn Fowler.
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Richard Bowie; by six brothers, Edward Guilliams, Barney Guilliams, Jerry Guilliams, Walter Guilliams, Lonnie Guilliams, and Donnie Guilliams; and by her sister, Marvine Joplin.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, March 27, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield on Monday, March 28, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.

Peggy Laverne Kirkbride, daughter of the late Raymond Gordon Walker and Frankie Janette Barker Almond, was born on May 25, 1943, in Bloomfield, Missouri, and departed this life on March 21, 2022, at Magnolia Manor in Piggott, Arkansas, at the age of 78 years.
Mrs. Kirkbride was a former certified nurse assistant. She was a member of the Assembly of God in Dexter, Missouri, and a resident of Dexter. Peggy loved to cross stitch, and work crossword puzzles. She loved to make people laugh and visit and fellowship with everyone. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch and watching her hummingbirds. And she loved her grandkids.
On December 3, 1993, in Branson, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Dale Kirkbride. Mr. Kirkbride preceded her in death on February 15, 2022,
She is survived by two sons, Larry Manuel (Kami) of Dexter, Missouri, and Mark Kirkbride (Trish) of Olathe, Kansas; by two daughters, Paula Richardson (Charles) of Piggott, Arkansas, and Laura Kirkbride (Mary) of Cottleville, Missouri; by her sister, Renda Burton of Dexter, Missouri; by seven grandchildren, Enoch Richardson, Jacob Richardson, Ben Manuel, Ashley Manuel, Matthew Manuel, Seth Williams, and Ethan Kirkbride; and by six great-grandchildren, Addison Richardson, Jubilee Richardson, Abilene Richardson, Hudson Matthew Underwood, Espen Travis Wayne Manuel, and one due in August.
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Walker, Jim Walker, and Gary Kastner; and by two sisters in infancy.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, March 26, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Charles Richardson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery in rural Bloomfield, Missouri.

Juanita Verble Lamunion (Watson) (Younger), (Harvey) was born on October 29, 1921, to the late Pearlie "Fannie" and Triss Van Watson. She peacefully passed away on March 21, 2022, in Welch, West Virginia at the age of 100 years.
Juanita was married to Fletcher Younger, Cecil Harvey, and Red Lamunion, all who preceded her in death.
Fletcher and Juanita had two sons: the late Robert Leroy Younger of Granite City, Illinois and Wayne Younger (wife Linda) of Collinsville, Illinois.
Juanita and Cecil Harvey had three sons: John Harvey (companion Jessie) of Yacolt, Washington, Glenn Harvey of Bernie, Missouri, and Dennis Harvey (wife Danielle) of Welch, West Virginia. They also had three daughters: Sharon Sykes (husband James, deceased) of Collinsville, Illinois, Patricia Copus (husband David, deceased) of Brownsville, Kentucky, Teresa Neeley (husband Hubert) of Dexter, Missouri.
Her survivors include brothers: Bob Watson, Jack Watson, Gary Watson, and a sister: Beautone Watson.
She was preceded in death by brothers: Chester, Everett, Pete, Jerry, and Bill Watson and one sister: Colleen Watson. Juanita also had one grandson: Mike Sykes and one great granddaughter: Bionca Younger who had preceded her in death.
Juanita had twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.
Juanita never met a stranger, so she has left behind many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie on Friday, March 25, 2022, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Maxine Gillis, daughter of the late Robert A. Garner and Cora Lee DeArman Garner, was born on August 31, 1925, in Pyletown, Missouri, and departed this life on March 18, 2022, at Dexter Living Center in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 96 years.
Mrs. Gillis had worked for C & L Orchard, picking peaches, and operating a peach stand on the highway. She was a member of the Dexter Church of Christ, a volunteer at Thursday School, and a resident of Dexter. She enjoyed making quilts for family and friends, working in her garden and she cracked millions of pecans.
On October 18, 1945, in Dexter, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Gene Leo Gillis. Mr. Gillis preceded her in death on December 16, 1996.
She is survived by her son, Donald Gillis and wife Kelly of Haughton, Louisiana; by four daughters, Phyllis Menley and husband Eugene of Dexter, Missouri, Nancy Viviano and husband Louis of House Springs, Missouri, Linda Stearns and husband Ronnie of Dexter, Missouri, and Lori Whitehead and husband Virgil of Dexter, Missouri; by daughter - in - law Jennifer Gillis of Bells, Tennessee; by her brother, Marvin Garner of Dexter, Missouri; and by thirteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Vernon Gillis; by eight brothers, Bob Garner, Lester Garner, Ivan Garner, Hubert Garner, Chester Garner, Larry Garner, Lewis Garner, and Loyd Garner; and by three sisters, Myrl Cook, Emma Stallion, and Norma Grubbs.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, March 20, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, March 21, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.

Margie Campbell of Evans Mills, New York daughter of the late E.B. and Mary (Goodwin) Griffin was born on February 05, 1932 in Anniston, Missouri passed away on March 14, 2022 in Watertown, New York at the age of 90 years.
She had lived in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, Killeen, Texas, Bloomfield, Missouri, Arlington, Kentucky. She was part of TOPS, Inc Class, loved her grand children and great grandchildren with all her heart. She enjoyed word search puzzles, to stitch and loved to sing.
Margie married Leslie Campbell on August 14, 1948 in Bloomfield, Missouri until his passing on June 18, 1990.
Margie is survived by one son Charles (Kerry) Campbell of Killeen, Texas; two daughters Sharon Raydon of Evans Mills, New York and Bobbie (Mark) Churchill of Dexter, Missouri; nine grandchildren Jimmy, Charlie, David, Jason, Billy, Corrie, Christopher, Sharon-Marie and Leslie; twenty-nine great grand children and eleven great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Leslie Campbell; her parents E.B. and Mary Griffin; two brothers Norwood Griffin and Jerry Griffin; one sister Glynn Mitchell; one daughter Rita Williams. A host of family and friends also survive.
