Dexter, Missouri - Central Elementary School has announced their 2022 3rd Quarter Honor Roll students for 4th grade.  Students must maintain a B average to be on the Honor Roll each quarter.

Successful, lifelong learners set aside a time and a space every day to do their homework. Student who can manage their daily workload have a better chance of attaining academic success.

Dexter School Board Meeting Minutes - March 14, 2022

Dexter School Board met for a regular board meeting on March 15, 2022.  Below are the minutes/notes from that meeting.

The Board President announced the meeting is to begin, ascertains the attendance status of all board members, with all members being present.  The Board President leads in the saying of the Pledge of Allegiance. 

Consent Agenda:  The consent agenda was approved.

Public Comments:  There were no registered guests.  

Old Business:  There was no old business.  

New Business: 

A.  The board approved an updated special assignment/extra duty assignment agreement.   

Discussion Items: The following items were discussed with the board:

A. Building board reports were shared for Southwest Elementary, Central Elementary, T.S. Hill Middle School, and Dexter High School.  

B.  The monthly nursing report was shared with the board.  

C.  The superintendent’s report was shared with the board.

In honor of School Board Appreciation Week the buildings made cards, signs, and videos for board members.  

D.  The next regular board meeting is scheduled for April 19, 2022  

In Closed Session:  

The board approved the hiring of the following substitute teachers for the 21-22 school year:

The board approved hiring of the following individuals for the 21-22 school year pending favorable background checks and appropriate certification:

Nicholas Libla-District IT Technician.

The board approved the transfer of the following individuals for the 22-23 school year pending appropriate certification:

Alexis Lovins-Central Elementary 4th Grade Teacher.

Christina Jenkins-Central Title Aide.

The board approved hiring of the following individuals for the 22-23 school year pending favorable background checks and appropriate certification. 

        Mary Ezernack - MS Special Services Teacher.

Kurt Lovelady - MS Boys Basketball Assistant.

Cody Boyer - Head Wrestling Coach.

McKenzie Anthony Brown - Central Elementary Teacher.  

Shelby Lintz - High School Math Teacher.  

Sarah Jarrell - District Process Coordinator (Psychological Examiner).  

Lari Hardin - Central Elementary Teacher.  

Lindsay Woods - HS Dance Coach.

Becky Lizenbee - Substitute Bus Aide.

Emma Parsley - Central Elementary Teacher.

The board approved employing all probationary teachers for the 2022-2023 school year. 

The board approved employing all tenured teachers for the 2022-2023 school year.  

The board approved employing the instructional/technology coaches for the 2022-2023 school year.   

The board approved the following resignations/retirements/recensions: 

        Lacey Wood-Southwest Secretary, resignation effective 3/25/2022.

        Brad Hahn-High School Math Teacher, recension of employment for the 22-23 school year.  

        Candice Melton-Bus Driver, recension of employment for the 21-22 school year.  

        Candice Averett-4th Grade Teacher, resignation effective at the conclusion of the 21-22 school year.  

        Shelby Lintz-5th Grade Teacher, resignation effective at the conclusion of the 21-22 school year.  

        April Boyer-1st Grade Teacher, resignation effective at the conclusion of the 21-22 school year.  

The following items were discussed with the board:

Legal update.

        Review of open positions for the 22-23 school year.     

Items at the Conclusion of Executive Session

A. None at this time.

2022 Mr. DHS Pageant Hosted by Sr. Beta Club

Dexter HIgh School Sr. Beta Club hosted a Mr. DHS Pageant in the auditorium on Tuesday, March 15, 2022.  Each entry competed in Formal Wear, Talent Competition, and a Question/Answer Session.

There were 17 Mr. DHS contestants.  The ShowMe Times has 17 videos one for each Talent Competition on the ShowMe Times Facebook page.  There are several albums of photos on Facebook as well.
