Known in Dexter as one of the sweetest ladies you could ever meet, Kim Lacy, daughter of Karol Mitchell Dennis and the late Larry Garner, was born on March 5, 1965, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and departed this life on January 29, 2022, at her residence in Dexter at the age of 56.
Kim was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She had worked in different areas of the healthcare industry. She joined a neurosarcoidosis awareness group, where she was supported by other individuals living with the disease.
On September 7, 1985, she was united in marriage to Russell Lacy in Dexter. Mr. Lacy survives of their home in Dexter.
In addition to her husband Russell, she is survived by her mother and stepfather, Karol and Richard Dennis of Dexter, Missouri, by her son, Zach Lacy of Jackson, Missouri; by her daughter, Briana Parris and husband Chad of Dexter, Missouri; by her sister, Kelly Mangus and husband Daniel of Sevierville, Tennessee; and by two grandsons, Warren and Waylon Parris both of Dexter, Missouri.
Visitation will be conducted at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, February 6, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. with Mike Nix speaking.
A graveside service will be conducted at a later date.
