Route 153 in Stoddard County Reduced for Shoulder Repairs

Route 153 in Stoddard County will be reduced as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform shoulder repairs.

This section of roadway is located from Route A to Route 114.

Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, Dec. 27 through Thursday, Dec. 30 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The work zone will be marked with signs.  Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.

- Omicron has spread to several countries

- Degree to which vaccines and therapies protect against Omicron
What you can do to protect yourself and those around you:
- Wear a mask in public indoor settings in areas of substantial or high community transmission
- Frequent handwashing
- Maintain physical distance from others
- Get tested for COVID-19 if you have symptoms
- Choose vaccination and get your booster dose

City of Bloomfield Seeking Bids for Animal Shelter

CITY OF BLOOMFIELD

Accepting sealed bids for the construction of a new city animal shelter.  Spec sheets can be picked up at Bloomfield City Hall between the hours of 8:00am-12:00pm and 1:00pm-5:00pm Monday-Friday.

Deadline to submit sealed bids is December 20, 2021 at 1:00pm.

Sealed bids will be opened on December 20, 2021, during the City Council meeting starting at 6:30pm. The bid will be awarded to the lowest and best bidder. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

U.S. 60 ADA Sidewalk Improvements in Stoddard County

U.S. Route 60 will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction as contractor crews improve sidewalks in Dexter, Missouri. This project is part of the Missouri Department of Transportation’s initiative to bring roadway facilities into compliance with the current standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Contractor crews will improve sidewalks between North Mulberry Street and Route 25.

Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, Dec. 13 through Monday, Jan. 31, 2022 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
