Betty Lou Ross, daughter of the late Roy Miller Brackney and Dona Simmons Brackney, was born on July 1, 1941, in Dexter, Missouri, and departed this life on December 13, 2021, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, at the age of 80 years.

Mrs. Ross was a homemaker and a resident of Dexter, Missouri.

On September 19, 1999, in Dexter, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Billy Lee Ross. Mr. Ross preceded her in death on September 2, 2017.

She is survived by two sons, William “Buddy” Ross of Pahrump, Nevada, and Donald Ross of Dexter, Missouri; by two daughters, Tammy Lamirand of Bakersfield, California, and Janell Burnes of Sikeston, Missouri; by her niece, Susie Brackney; by her great-niece Michelle Brackney; by several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and by her beloved dog, Sassy.

Graveside services will be scheduled at a later date.
