Dexter, MO - It's the most wonderful time of the year!  Central Elementary will participate in their annual holiday dress-up days Monday, December 6th - Friday, December 10th.

Monday, Dec 6th - Candy Cane Day - Wear Red and White

Tuesday, Dec 7th - I'll be Fit for Christmas - Wear Your Workout Clothes

Wednesday, December 8th - Oh Christmas Tree - Wear Green

Thursday, December 9th - Wear Bright Colors Day

Friday, December 10th - Bearcat Christmas - Wear a Bearcat Shirt

Dexter High School FBLA Sponsor Mac & Cheese Drive

Dexter, MO - Dexter Future Business Leaders of America sponsored a drive to collect Macaroni and Cheese for the Stoddard County Gospel Mission Food Bank.  From November 8 to November 19, Dexter High School faculty, staff and students participated in this food drive and donated 2,355 boxes.

These were loaded on the Gospel Mission van on Monday, November 22nd and will be distributed at the Stoddard County Gospel Mission.

The winning advisory Classes were Huffman, Griffin, A.Simmons and Pfeffer.  They will be treated to a pizza party.

Filing Deadline for Dexter School Board Election

Dexter, MO - The Dexter R-XI School Board of Education will accept declaration of candidacy from any person interested in running for 2 open positions (3 year terms per person), for school board membership in the April 5th, 2022 elections.  Persons interested may obtain forms and file for candidacy in person at the superintendent’s office located at:  1031 Brown Pilot Lane.  The qualifications for school board candidacy includes:

1.. Citizen of the United States

2.  A resident tax payer of the district with no delinquent taxes

3.  Have resided in Missouri for a minimum of one (1) year preceding the election

4.  Twenty four years of age

5.  Have not been found guilty or pled guilty to a felony

6.  Not registered or required to be registered as a sex offender

Filing will begin on December 7th, 2021 at 8 a.m., and will will continue until 4 p.m.  Filing will not occur on days the school district’s office are closed for holidays or inclement weather, see dates below.  Filing will end on December 28th, 2021 at 5 p.m.

DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED ON THE FOLLOWING DATES:

December 23, 24, 27

December 28 – OPEN UNTIL 5 p.m.
